As you all know, I got 3 shades of the Lotus Herbals Ecostay lipsticks that were launched recently. I have already reviewed Rose Rush and Plum Kiss from my stash, and here I will be wrapping up with the last one called “Magenta Mania”. I haven’t really been into magentas because I was all into reds and pinks, but this shade totally lured me since it looked very different and extremely pretty. So here, we start with the review.

My Experience with Lotus Herbals Ecostay Long Lasting Lip Colour – Magenta Mania:
Packaging:
The Lotus Herbals ecostay lipstick comes in a very pretty, metallic pink box with the lipstick inside it. The lipstick further comes in a little cloth holder which is shiny pink too. The packaging of the lipstick is really pretty and feminine. It comes in a glossy pink packaging which looks very classy and luxurious. Although, it is not colour-coded, it has the name mentioned at the base. The cap closes with a click, so no such flaws with the packaging. These lipsticks are very handy and fit anywhere, be it in the vanity or in a clutch.
Shade:
The shade “Magenta Mania” is a very pretty magenta shade with lot of deep pink hints that give birth to this very unique colour. It is a perfect blend since the shade is neither too warm nor too cool. It is a beautiful shade which looks very pretty on all the skin-tones, especially the Indian skin-tones.
It is a really nice shade for brides as the brides get to experiment with something apart from regular reds, pinks and maroons. The shade has beautiful pigmentation which is great to cover pigmented lips too. The shade is a super versatile one since it will complement all the age groups and outfits.
Consistency, pigmentation and finish:
The consistency of the lipstick is not very creamy, hence a lot of pressure has to be applied while using it for the first time. After a few uses, it does turn a bit creamy but not very smooth. Hence a lot of tugging is required. And due to this, I cannot line out my lip lines perfectly which results into a shabby application. But I, somehow, manage to layer it on correctly.
The pigmentation is really great as I just get the bold colour in just one swipe. But I layer it once more to increase the intensity. The pigmentation is great to cover pigmented lips too. The finish is super matte which makes the shade look even better. But I need to exfoliate my lips before I use this otherwise it might look a bit patchy.
Staying power:
The staying power of this lipstick is really good. It stays nicely on my lips for 5-6 hours without any food. It does transfer but not very much. It does not settle into the fine lines, and does not bleed even after food. When I munch on something, some colour gets ripped off from the middle portion of my lips. Hence a touch-up after 5 hours would be a great option.

Yes, absolutely recommended! This is one awesome shade that you all should try out. I might get it again if I do not come across any better magentas.
