Lotus Herbals Royal Blue Colorkick Kajal Review

Hello all,

I bought two colored kajals from Lotus Herbals Makeup. I would be reviewing the shade “Royal Blue” today. So, let’s get started with the review 🙂

My Experience with Lotus Herbals Royal Blue Colorkick Kajal:

Packaging: This kajal comes in a nice and hot pink packaging. I really love the bright pink shade and the girly design. The actual kajal too comes in a bright pink retractable pencil, very similar to original Colorkick kajal. This pencil has a blue band to indicate the shade. The mechanism works well and is handy to use.

Color/Pigmentation:  I must say I am slightly disappointed with the shade. “Royal Blue” means dark blue shade with nice pigmentation. This is a light blue shade with a metallic sheen. The colour looks intense if you see it, but when swatched, it doesn’t come off as pigmented as expected, but I still like the shade nonetheless. Also, when you layer, it takes away the color with the swipe. I noticed this only when I swatched it on the hand, but on the lids, it worked fine.

Texture: The texture makes up for the lost pigmentation and the colour. It is very creamy and glides on very easily. It sets quickly and doesn’t smudge at all after it sets. It doesn’t tug or pull even on dry lids. I’ve used it on my lids and it went on very smoothly.

Staying Power: It has a pretty impressive staying power. It does what it claims, but not exactly. It stayed for about 6 hours, which still is good in the humid climate, I like it! It doesn’t come off with a remover in one go, it takes some time to come off completely.
