Hola Amigos,
Today, I have another pretty product for you. And yes, this is also a lovely gift from our loving IMBB team. 😀 Along with nail polishes and lipsticks, my love extends to blushes too. 😛 Though I don’t have many blushes in my kitty because of the main reason that while picking up a blush, I am always unsure if it will look good on my medium dark skin or not. But this time, I finally thought of picking this blush without giving so much thought and the best part is that IMBB gifted it to me. So without much ado, I will move to the review.

My Experience with MAC Lovecloud Powder Blush:
A couple of years ago, MAC had launched the MAC Tres Cheek Collection – a limited edition collection which consisted of blushes in 6 beautiful shades. Now, MAC has re-released 4 of those gorgeous blushes and added them into the permanent line. The four of the re-launched shades are Lovecloud (bright mid-tone pink), Peony Petal (bright blue pink), Modern Mandarin (red-orange) and Full of Joy (lavender). I decided to pick Lovecloud which is described as bright mid-tone pink.
Color and Texture: Â MAC describes this shade as a bright mid-tone pink. The blush looks cool-toned light pink in the pan with peachy undertones, but it does balance the cool tones pretty well when applied. So, this blush would look good on girls with both both warm and cool skin tones. The blush has satin finish which gives a very pretty sheen on the cheeks. The satin finish is not very glittery or shimmery, but gives a very healthy, natural glow to my cheeks. The texture is very soft, finely milled and not at all chalky and there is no fallout at all. It is very smooth and easy to apply and blend, but I do feel that the satin finish emphasizes the skin imperfections and pores.
Pigmentation and Staying Power: Â The blushes from the Tres Cheek Collection were very sheer and the re-launched “Lovecloud” is no different. Though the color is really pretty, it is very sheer and and on my medium dark skin, it looks barely there. The color can be build up and layered easily and I need to build it up really well to show some color on my cheeks. I feel it would work very well on fair to medium skin tones. Darker-skinned beauties will have to work a bit more to build the color and get strong pigmentation, but it does blend well.
The color stays well for around 7 hours on me, but the intensity is reduced in around 3 hours. After around 7 hours, I can’t see any color on my cheeks, despite how much color I had applied initially, but the smooth and finely milled texture makes it blend and layer well.
Pros of MAC Lovecloud Powder Blush:
- Gorgeous baby pink shade.
- Satin finish.
- Gives a natural, healthy glow.
- Will go with multiple looks.
- Color can be built up easily and brilliantly.
- No fallout.
- Easily blendable.
- Smooth texture, not chalky at all.
- Back to MAC policy is applicable on this product.
Cons of MAC Lovecloud Powder Blush:
- Darker skin tones will have to build the color really well for a good payoff.
- Might emphasize skin imperfections and pores.
- Stays for around 7 hours, but loses its intensity in around 3 hours or so.
- Pricey (but then it’s MAC!!!)
IMBB Rating:
3.5/5
Would I Repurchase MAC Lovecloud Powder Blush?
This would last me long time, but I am planning to get Modern Mandarin on my next visit. 😀
Would I Recommend MAC Lovecloud Powder Blush?
No doubt that Lovecloud is a gorgeous shade, but I don’t think it is very unique. Go ahead if you are a MAC fan, but I feel that it is not a must-have shade (if you already own lots of pink blushes) and this blush could be skipped.

I would wear something tad darker than this kinda pink but this is so beautiful too
most of us prefer a darker blush but this would give the healthy luminous glow to the cheeks Neha 🙂
Love how glowy it looks once blended out! Nice review, Bakul! 🙂
