MAC Pearled Earth Eyeshadow Review

In this post, I would be reviewing two eyeshadows from MAC – “Pearled Earth” and “Carbon Matte.” The review would be primarily on Pearled Earth. So, let’s get started:

Both the eyeshadows are for INR 1350.

My Experience with MAC Pearled Earth Eyeshadow:

Both the shadows come little black circular jars. The packaging is quite nice and travel friendly, but the eyeshadows would break easily if you drop them.

Carbon Matte eye shadow:
This is a jet black matte eyeshadow. It looks too dark in the pan but once you apply it on your eyes, it is not that pigmented as it seems. You need swipe two to three times to achieve a perfect smokey look. It’s better to prep your eyes with a good moisturizer and primer to achieve intense color payoff. This shadow is not at all flaky and also there’s no fallout. It has good staying power with or without a primer beneath.

Pearled Earth Eyeshadow:
This is a grey-coloured shimmery eyeshadow. It gives a nice subtle shade to the eyes, it is not very light nor too pigmented. There’s no fallout. This shadow is not chalky, it glides on smoothly. The texture is smooth and blends well. The shimmer is finely milled. I use a primer underneath this shadow for it to go on smoothly and also so that it could stay on longer.

Both these eyeshadows are quite okay, but since they come from MAC, the pigmentation disappointed me as they are not as pigmented as other shadows that I have used from MAC.
