A makeup base is usually a primer which is of a serum consistency, like for example, prep and prime from Mac. It acts as a barrier between the skin and makeup and keeps the pores from getting clogged. Also it sort of makes the makeup adhere to the skin and helps make up stay for a long time. I think Revlon Photoready is a good primer available in India. I wouldn’t know cuz I don’t wear makeup and all I know about primers is from the Youtube makeup gurus.

makeup base can be for anything – for eye shadows , face, lip, eye lashes. They are called primers and are available in the market according to skin type or preference.
mac, inglot, revlon , maybelline, beyu all of them have makeup bases available in their range.
Makeup base is a primer which is applied after moisturizer/sunscreen and before foundation. Its basically a barrier between skin and foundation and helps in protecting skin by without clogging pores, some primers also help in making the make up stay longer. There are many different kinds of primers available for eg Mac Prep n Prime which also comes with spf so you dont need separate sunscreen, kryolan base makeup is quite moisturizing so you dont need separate moisturizer…inglot makeup base is silicon based primer which makes skin smooth so that foundation goes on smoothly..hope this helps 🙂

like a painter applies a primer to walls and wood before painting on it, so that the surface is best prepared to hold onto the paint, and to increase the life of the paint, you need to prime your face using a primer, so that the make-up can stay…
