My Experience with Makeup Revolution Red Carpet Rose Gold Lipstick:
I have already fallen for the rose gold packaging of this lipstick. So, I will take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the packaging. See how beautiful and luxurious this packaging looks. The cap is also rose gold in color which shuts with a click sound; that ensures the cap will not come off, making it travel friendly. The lipstick is regular bullet shaped, which is perfect to apply the color easily. The lipstick tube does not contain anything like brand name, ingredients list, etc. The lipstick tube has a color-coded base along with a sticker indicating the shade name at its base.
Red carpet is a true red lipstick with cool undertones. This is another favorite red of mine. It suits my skin tone so well and brightens up my face. It will suit a wide range of skin tones. This is an amazing shade of red. It is a really classic and stunning red. The lipstick is not at all shimmery. It does not leave a stain that is hard to remove like other Makeup Revolution lipsticks do. It leaves a hint of color behind, but that is okay for me. It looks beautiful. It has a very mild fragrance, which is barely noticeable. It fades away in sometime, so it will not bother people with sensitive noses.
The texture of the lipstick is nice and creamy. It feels almost buttery on the lips. The application goes smooth and hassle free. There will not be any tugging or pulling of the lips. The creamy formula leads to transferring of the product. So, it is not for people who like non-transfer formulas. I normally prefer matte lippies to the creamy ones but this one sets to an amazing satiny finish. I really enjoy this hydrating and moisturizing lipstick. It does not cling to the dry patches of the lips. The lipstick is very pigmented. One swipe will impart nice color. But for a proper finish two swipes are required. It gives a nice and opaque finish with 2 swipes. So, people with pigmented lips can carry it easily. It hides all the pigmentation by imparting a beautiful satiny finish.
It is super comfortable to wear and feels light on the lips. It does not settle into the fine lines of the lips. It does not get patchy. It does not feather much even after long time of application. It stays for 4-5 hours with a little fading. This lipstick does not survive any eating and fades away evenly leaving a nice hint of red color behind, which looks nice. Overall, I am in love with this range.
