Sristi Asks
Hey,
As you must be knowing, tomorrow is Saraswati Puja. It’s like a thing in Kolkata 2 wear a saree on this day. As in especially the young girls. I am planing 2 wear a pink mekhala chadar with golden work done on it. I am absolutely clueless as to what kinda make up would look good with the saree. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. 🙂 🙂
You know I would seriously wear a bright reddish lipstick and a big round bindi with a hint of highlighter on cheeks with it. On eyes just kajal and mascara.

The saree you decided is also very pretty. It will compliment your fair skin a lot.
I would suggest you a very traditional make-up. A fuchsia pink eyeshadow with gold shimmer. A darker matte shadow in the crease. And a little bit of smokey effect to define ur eyes. You can skin highlighting your brow bones as u have hooded eyelids.
Highlight your cheeks with soft pink cream blush to get the dewy look. Apply nice shimmer highlighted on your cheek bones.
And for lips. I would suggest a very nude pink color with a shimmery nude gloss. :))

also i would see u shud keep ur eyemakeup minimal…just a wash of soft brown,dark kohl on waterline and mascara.. minimal blush too… but keep ur lips bold and well defined… a nice fuchsia, deep pink, or hot pink colour … this will literally enhance ur features and and give a traditonal yet eyecatching look for the occasion and the saree..

er…I might not be the best person to suggest, but I guess I can suggest you the kinda makeup I did on Karwachauth!! :shy: …Use kumkum bindi, not very big, but small bindi, also not exact red chilli red colored, but kinda toned down like maroonish red colored. Apply a lil pink blush on your cheeks and dark pink lippi!! :)) :))

Touchwood. I used 2 have breakouts pehle. Especially in my T-zone. I tried many drugstore brands but none worked. Then about a year back, I started using these 100% ayurvedic products which my mom recommended. Its a product range by this lady called Somi Gupta. Look wise, the entire line is very unimpressive. That is why I never used them before. But man o man, the products have really worked wonders for me. I rarely have breakouts now. 🙂 🙂

Naina…i m using TBS tea tree face wash…it is gud in the sense of cleaning the face…cooling effect..but doesnt stop occurense of pimples… 😐 😐 😐 😐 😐 😐 😐 …i like it though… :toothygrin:
hey Naina…i like Tbs T-tree ..its one facewash that I keep buying…I would def say its worth…it doesnt stop pimples like 100% but def helps doing that to some extent…If you use it with the toner,scrub n other prods from t-tree range then I’m sure it will work much better 🙂

of late even i feel there are many ayurvedic products which give better results than our well known brands!!
I have combination skin. My T-zone is a little oily as compared to the rest of my face. Anyways, I use Glow Active, Glow Shine Solution, Glow Shine Pack, Glow Clean Pack, Glow Fair Moisturiser, Glow Mint Moisturiser and Glow Safe. Very irritating names, I know. :toothygrin: :toothygrin: But great stuff. 🙂 🙂 🙂

So how did u get the products…u just bought them on ur own or u went to the clinic and they recommended u after a consultation??
Basically, the glow shine solution is meant to be mixed with glow active and then u have 2 lagao it like a normal pack. You should definitely give these products a shot. They literally saved me from my breakout woes.
I went to their clinic. Consulted them n bought the stuff. But whatever they suggested, I would have bought them anyways. This Somi Gupta comes on this show on a bengali channel everyday. My mom watches the show and so she knows everything about her products.

Nowadays there’s a huge rush of ayurvedic beauty experts on Bengali channels….and each is good in her own way….I like Keya Seth’s products a lot! :yes: Although I personally have not tried Somi’s but my friend says it’s really nice!

I haven’t tried Keya Seth. She is a bigger brand name than Somi Gupta. But since my mum uses her products, I decided to stick to her only.

U r surely very beautiful…. And nude lips, heavy kohl and kajal in the eyes and big round bindi will certainly make u luk even more beautiful… And some yellow flowers in the hair… or one gerbera in a loosely tied bun will complete the luk… Yellow coz it’s the colour of the day… 🙂
