Marc Anthony Repairing Macadamia Oil Sulfate Free Conditioner Review

Hi Beautifuls,

Marc Anthony Repairing Conditioner

How are you doing today! Happy Holi to all of you in advance! I remember Holi used to be my most favorite yet scary festival of all, after Diwali 😛 Apart from colors and water games, I also love how people sing classical holi songs with traditional instruments including harmonium, dholak, tabla in cities of Uttarakhand, UP and other states of India. I believe music is magical and it works wonders. Our holi celebrations start 15 days prior to the festival with cult traditional choi, kumaouni khadi holi songs where people of all age groups and gender sit together, sing classical songs – fast, slow, and rhythmic holi songs and conclude it decently with dry gulaal and water colors. Since childhood, I am observing baithaki and khadi holi and must say I just miss those musical sessions badly which were and still is an integral part of our holi festival. Not to forget, mouthwatering khoya-maida dish “ghujiya”, “sem”, “Aloo/sooji/rice chips” and “Bhaang drink”.. 😀 and the list goes! I literally hate living here when I see my family and relatives dancing and singing together in khadi/baithaki holi. Thanks to Facebook, I am still connected with my family and feel part of their celebrations, but my nostalgia becomes worse after looking at their lively celebrations and images 😛 Anyway, let me get back to today’s review before I start blabbering 😛 Of late, I realized the significance of a good conditioner in my life and ended up with Marc Anthony Macadamia Oil Conditioner for my dry and frizzy hair. Please read on further to know more about it.

Marc Anthony Repairing Conditioner

Product Description:

Nourish and revitalize dry, overworked hair with this ultra nourishing conditioner. The lightweight formula is perfect for all hair types. It hydrates extra dry hair, smoothes frizz and softens brittle hair. Macadamia Oil moisturizes extra dry hair, boosts shine and improves elasticity while Bamboo Extract imparts strength.

Packaging:

This buttery light and soft conditioner comes in a sleek, slender and opaque brown tube packaging with flip top cap. I prefer a pump dispenser for bath products unless I am not carrying them inside travel bag/purse. It has a heavenly vanilla and nutty scent which reminds me of TBS brazil nut body products. Overall, it’s a travel-friendly and user-friendly packaging.

My Experience with Marc Anthony Repairing Macadamia Oil Sulfate Free Conditioner:

My hair is dry and frizzy unlike my oily scalp and I often suffer from hair fall irrespective of my eating habit and hair experiments (my hair were naturally good but I always ignored them and now they are all messy, frizzy). Moreover, humidity and dry air outside make it worse 😛 Okay, I also confess that I do not have good eating habits except for the days when hubby is sitting at home to watch what goes inside 😛 Whatever, I decided to start with good hair care routine for my badly ignored and ill-treated hair.  Finally, I picked this Macadamia oil-infused and sulfate-free conditioner for my hair and more or less, I am satisfied and happy with my purchase though I am still searching for my HG conditioner.

Talking about this conditioner particularly, this white buttery soft and light creamy conditioner spreads easily on my hair, but I always end up applying more than required.  This cream can be easily massaged on the scalp and split ends but I never get an idea where I applied it as it quickly gets absorbed into the scalp and hair.  Initially, I was wondering it takes a hell lot of time to rinse this conditioner off my hair as compared to shampoo, that too when this conditioner hardly leaves any layer or film on hair. The best part is that once I rinse it off, it does not leave any oily residue.  My hair feels touchably soft and shiny and it does make a difference than before when I simply washed them with shampoo.  My hair feels light and soft though not bouncy. Post washing, I do not feel any need of using hair serum to manage my towel-dried hair, which was like an essential part of my regimen post hair wash.  However, I miss bouncy and wavy effect.  Hair is clean, soft, shiny, and nourished, but I do not feel any fluffy or bouncy effect, you know what I mean? I cannot just set them free, they appear as usual flat.

Other than that, I love how my hair looks naturally healthy and well maintained in braids and certain styles 😛 I cannot swear by its claim of treating split ends completely, but yes, now I notice low rate of split ends as compared to before and I trim them quite often! Overall considering its price, quantity and decent results, I would like to continue with it as long as I am happy with braid, pony styles and don’t feel like setting my hair free! Not to forget, my hair fall issue is resolving which makes it a keeper for me as of now. I would recommend this conditioner to dry, frizzy, ill treated, and color-treated hair. It will certainly make a difference in texture and appearance of even single hair strand, but then it may not give you bouncy hair.

Summing up the pros and cons:

Pros of Marc Anthony Repairing Macadamia Oil Sulfate Free Conditioner:

  • A sulfate-free conditioner infused with the goodness of bamboo extracts, macadamia oil extracts, protein, grape seed oil extract, sunflower oil extracts, etc.
  • It has a buttery soft and light texture, it actually looks like butter to me which spreads evenly and effortlessly on my scalp and hair strands.
  • Post washing, I do not feel any heaviness on my scalp or hair – feels clean, shiny and nourished from root to tip.
  • My hair does feel well nourished, hydrated and shiny which makes a difference as compared to before when I never used conditioner.
  • Does strengthen hair strands and eventually helps with less hair fall.
  • It does not leave any oily residue on scalp or hair though it takes good time to rinse off.
  • I never use hair serum on towel or blow dried  hair post washing like earlier times when serum was a must in my hair care regimen.
  • Considering its decent results, user friendly and travel-friendly packaging, I feel it is quite affordable.
  • Intense and heavenly fragrance which hardly lingers post rinsing.

Cons of Marc Anthony Repairing Macadamia Oil Sulfate Free Conditioner:

  • I miss the bouncy effect on my medium length hair, though it might not be an issue with shoulder length thick hair I guess.
  • I doubt if it totally works on split ends though I notice less split ends.
  • It does contain chemicals which might create other issues, luckily I am not suffering any side effects.

As of now, I am liking it as it helped me to skip hair serum and my hair appears more healthy and nourished apart from less hair fall. However, I am also looking for an alternative naturally derived conditioner for my hair which may help me in the long run. If you are okay with chemical ingredients and want a solution for dry, frizzy, untamed, color treated, hair, then Marc Anthony Macadamia Oil Conditioner might be your possible answer.
