Well, honestly speaking, I was never a fan of Maybelline Color Sensational range because I felt the staying power was poor. But Toffee Tango was a good try and I quite liked it. I also liked their recently launched Powder Matte lipsticks and have been reading just positive reviews about their latest launch. But today, let’s see how this Maybelline Color Sensational 375 Toffee Tango Lipstick fared for me.

My Experience with Maybelline Color Sensational 375 Toffee Tango Lipstick:
I don’t think this particular shade is available in India yet. The Maybelline Color Sensational range has an ample number of shades to choose from. But, a few shades from this range aren’t easily available in India. This shade ‘375 Toffee Tango’ is one such shade. I personally got it as a gift.
This shade is perfect for the everyday, natural makeup looks. It is a pretty, frosty nu*e shade with brown and copper undertones. The color is decently pigmented. It has a strong glossy sheen in it. The color pays off well in just one swipe. It looks dark in the tube but actually looks lighter when swiped on the lips. I like how this shade is adjustable.
With one swipe the shade looks lighter, with two swipes it looks perfect and with multiple swipes, it looks glossier and appears to darker. I have fair skin tone and this shade looks pretty on me but I am very sure that this shade is apt for darker skin tones, too. In fact, it would complement darker skin tones more than it complements fair skin tones.
I agree that not every shade looks great on dark skin tones but this is an amazingly apt shade for dark skin toned people, as this would look absolutely lovely on them. And moreover, frosty lipsticks are best suitable for people who wish to look younger. This lipstick will do the job for you!
The texture of the lipstick is very creamy and it glides effortlessly onto my lips. It goes on smoothly on my lips and my lips feel moisturized, too. It gives a nice, velvety finish and has been formulated with honey nectar. It transfers a little and wears off completely after having a meal. Otherwise, it would stay for good 6 hours if I don’t eat anything.
It feels light on my lips and doesn’t feel heavy at all. It bleeds slightly from the outer part of the lips but doesn’t look too obvious as it’s a light shade. However, lining your lips with a similar colored lip liner will help to some extent. The packaging is nice, decent and sleek. It comes in a silver colored metallic case with a transparent brown cap.
So far I’ve not had any issues with the packaging and the cap fits in properly. But I wish these lipsticks were color coded as there are a lot of shades to choose from in this range. A color-coded packaging would have made the selection process easier.
The name and shade number are labelled at the bottom and in case you wish to pick up a lot of shades from this range you would have to arrange them upside down for easier access. It is an affordable lipstick but unavailability in India can be an issue.

Yes! I do recommend this lipstick for the pros I’ve mentioned above. I highly recommend this shade to people with dark skin tones.
