Mascara is one of the most essential things in my makeup routine. I am always on a lookout for new mascara. Today I will be reviewing the new Maybelline lash sensational luscious waterproof mascara. So let’s see how this product fared for me.

My Experience with Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara:
Packaging: This mascara comes in a classy matte black packaging. The shape of the tube is similar to the original lash sensational mascara. It is cylindrical and tapers at the end. The matte black packaging gives an easy grip. The product is also very travel friendly and you can easily carry it in your purse.
Brush: The main difference between the luscious mascara and the original lash sensation mascara in the rose gold packaging is the wand. I really don’t like the wand on the luscious mascara. The wand is not curved like the original lash sensation mascara and it doesn’t provide any lift and doesn’t separate my lashes very well. The bristles on the wand is very small and it doesn’t cover the whole lash.
Formula: The formula is very liquid-y but it dries down very quickly. The wand pick up quite a lot of product since the formula is liquidy. I had to wipe out the excess before putting on the mascara. It clumped my lashes if I didn’t remove the excess product out of the wand. You need to be very careful while applying this mascara to achieve the best result. I felt two coat of mascara provided me excellent coverage. Since this is a waterproof mascara, it stayed put the whole day. Removing this mascara is a chore since it has a waterproof finish. None of my makeup removers worked with this mascara. The best way to remove this mascara is with an oil. I use coconut oil and it cleans out the mascara really well.
Finish: The mascara does gives a nice dramatic finish to the eyes. I got the shade blackest black and it opened up my eyes pretty well. It gave me an average amount of lengthening however it didn’t fan out my lashes that well.

- Good longevity.
- Extremely comfortable.
- Stays on the lid until you remove it.
- Gives a good lengthening effect.
- Affordable.
Cons of Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara:
- Clumps up the eyelashes easily if the excess product is not removed.
- Removing the mascara is a task since it’s a waterproof version.
- Don’t like the brush on this mascara.
- Doesn’t fan out or curve my lashes.
- Doesn’t separate out my lashes.
