Today I will be reviewing another lip gloss (*Shy* when will I review other product like eye shadow, liners etc). Anyways, I believe as I love and use lipsticks and glosses every day, and end up buying them the most, unlike any other make up item; I am good at reviewing them only. Moreover thanks to all you beautiful and creative people I find most of the products I want to review (even some DIY) are already there in IMBB.

My Take on Maybelline Water Shine Liquid Diamonds Lip Gloss – Caramel Pearl:
I have a love -hate relation with Maybelline products, some of their products have never let me down whereas some were not up to the mark (read expectation). My recent purchase was done for a different reason altogether. I was buying some stuff online and it said I would get 15% additional discount if I shopped for 1999!! Now my cart was at 1820. Hence I was to buy something around 200 bucks. And as I searched for cosmetics I was surprised to find these glosses costing 210 only!!, that too from Maybelline. Now that’s the story of how I got my hands on this cute little gloss.
Now, coming to the shade Caramel Pearl, I wanted to buy something in a brown kind of a shade (Apart from the PINKS!!). I saw some mauve shades but then I wanted BROWN. So I felt caramel would be the one. When I got my gloss, I was happy to see this slim, sleek and cute gloss.
I felt it would be the one gloss that I would carry in my hand bag for some time now. However when I used the gloss the climax changed, I was almost happy with the shade and feel of the gloss. But one thing that totally made me feel differently about this was the shimmers. :-(. Gosh!! It’s too shimmery, I understand it says liquid diamonds but still, I don’t want to look like I have walked out from some bar at Vegas wearing all shimmery gloss on my mouth! Still I thought I would wear it on evening occasions, actually I did, but within an hour of application it bleed and the shimmers were all over, now this not something I can tolerate. That’s my experience with the gloss. Its available in 15 shades I don’t know about the other shades may be the ones which are non shimmery will be better. But this shade is not.

Pros of Maybelline Watershine Liquid Gloss Caramel Pearl:
• I really liked the packaging, cute.
• Price.
• The texture is a nice creamy one and it does not dry lips (like most glosses).
Cons of Maybelline Watershine Liquid Gloss Caramel Pearl:
• TOO shimmery.
• Bleeds and spreads badly.
• Transfers to everything your lips touch.
• Pigmentation is poor. ( Not for people having pigmented lips)
• Staying power is poor (1-2 hours).
• No Plumping effect to give fuller lips.

Actually no at least this shade. But if someone who loves shimmery glosses and wants to try a new shade, may be yes, as the price is very affordable and its good for experimentation.

Deesha yes even I like the fruity smell and cute little packaging bit.
But I was put off becoz of the DIAMONDS all over my face rofl
