My Experience with Natio Rich Lip Colour – Cranberry:

To begin with, I was thoroughly excited about my purchases and I was happy that I got all the four colors in one shot which is usually not the case. It was sheer curiosity and once I went on with the swatches I noticed that just like the packaging, every second shade was one tone less. I sincerely hope that these swatches help you with picking the best one for you in case you like these crayons after reading the detailed review.

Packaging: There is nothing fancy about the packaging. It’s a regular retractable, short chubby stick that is color-coded with the name embossed on it. I always like any stick that saves me from wasting any bit of the product so that is a big pro for me. It is sturdy and easy to carry and these crayons are travel-friendly. One major loop hole that I find about the packaging is quite simple. It is the ingredient list we rush to and it is missing here.

Color: If you are someone who has so far stayed away from bold lip colors, this color might initially get you thinking on the first swipe. But I would highly recommend this color for you if you are a fan of pinks and especially when you are looking for a nice blend of a hot pink that is more on the lines of your favorite berry shade. I am sure the swatches would guide you better. I do not see this as an everyday lip color but could try a single swipe of it to keep it down. Also, the beauty of this hot berry pink is that this color is not over the top and it is a shade that would unanimously suit all skin complexions/skin tones. To sum it up, it a safe pink to go for that is shimmer free. Another advantage that I see in ‘Cranberry’ is that it would make a good lip color for both daytime and night. If you like ‘Grape Hint’ from ‘Lakme’, you can share your love for this one too, only that ‘Cranberry’ is more on the matte side with zero shimmers while containing a fruit-minty flavor to it. The major differences between the two would be the finish, fragrance and the pigmentation power.

Texture and finish: The texture of the crayon is neither too dense nor too light. It is just fine and I have so far no complaints or issues with that. It is quite creamy and eventually settles into a semi-matte finish which I personally love. It does not look very dry on your lips but neither is it too flashy in any way. If you are someone who does not prefer flashy mirror-like finishes or anything that looks too dry, then this like a hybrid that you must try and go for. The finish is nice and even and if you have pigmented lips or you have been looking for ‘just a crayon’ to cover the pigmented portion for your lips, you would hug this one! It does magic in two neat strokes. The semi-matte creamy crayon is safer for summers. I would not recommend these for winters for they exactly do not hydrate your lips but neither do they dry out.

Pigmentation and staying power: This lip crayon that is highly pigmented is worth every dime you pay. I think the price is directly proportional to the pigmentation it offers but the surprising part about this crayon is that although it delivers a neat and nice opaque coverage that is inviting, it has a shockingly low staying power which is something to re-think about especially once it starts leaving your lips. It is quite an unpleasant sight to see it leave your lips. On application or on sipping on water, the color does not move once its sets, but once you have an oily snack or a small meal you can see the uneven stained parts and obviously the lip lines with color here and there. It would look like you have been busy playing with a colored crayon! Another unpleasant thing that I highly fear about these crayons is the way they transfer and the way they stain. I had a tough time with wiping away the swatches and I had to go for some harsh exfoliation for my lips as well after continual usage of these crayons.

IMBB Rating: 3.8/5

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Natio Rich Lip Colour – Cranberry?
No. I would not repurchase this one since my vanity is filled with berry pinks and the ‘Grape Hint’ from Lakme also makes a good substitute for ‘Cranberry’, but if you are looking for a lip crayon that offers an opaque coverage with zero shimmers, then I recommend this beauty.
