Truth be told, I have been completely obsessed with her look these days and have been sporting it every now and then. After browsing online for hours in a row, I finally stumbled upon NYX Slim Pencil in Mauve, which is an exact dupe of whatever Kylie Jenner wears on her lips. And here I am, reviewing the same. My Take on NYX 831 Mauve Slim Lipliner Pencil:

Packaging: it comes in a very simple black pencil packaging. Nothing fancy about it, yet it looks elegant and decent. The bottom of the pencil denotes the shade of the lip pencil. The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly.

Shade: it’s like a rosy tan mauve color. I absolutely love this color. It is not season specific and I love that I can wear this shade all year round. This is one such shade that will suit all skin tones. This lip pencil can be used for outlining the lips as well as a matte lipstick. I usually just fill in my lips with this lip pencil like I would do with a lipstick. I don’t top it with a gloss, nor do I wear it on a lip balm because this lip pencil in itself is a little moisturizing on the lips.

Texture and longevity: the texture of NYX slim lip pencils is soft and kind of buttery. Even though these are mostly matte finish lip pencils, they glide on to the lips very smoothly. This lip pencil does not feel too drying on my lips even when I don’t use a lip balm under it. It is just perfect for outlining the lips with a nude lipstick or even to be worn as lipstick itself on the lips. It stays on my lips for almost 5 plus hours when I outline my lips with this pencil and it lasts for 7-8 hours when I fill in my lips with this lip pencil like a lipstick.
