Hello beauties! I recently got a few NYX stuff from cherry culture. And today I am going to review the NYX slim lip pencil in bloom. It is a dark pinkish fuchsia color. I, being a novice in makeup, don’t posses much lip liners, this is my fourth lip liner (first lip liner from NYX though), and I must say that am in love with it! I fill my lips with this pencil and top it with gloss instead of lining my lips with it (that’s how much I love it!). Let’s get to the product review.

What the company claims:
Slim, trim but never prim, our lip pencils come in 60 dashing shades—from auburn to orange and traffic-stopping red. The buttery, long-wearing lip liner formula goes on easily and resists bleeding. Available in 60 shades.

The packaging is a glossy black finish with the color band at the end for easy identification.

My Take on NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Bloom
This is an awesome product! It’s creamy and blends easily. Glides smooth on lips. The color pay off of this particular shade is awesome. It does not tug the lips when they are dry, and does not accentuate the lip lines when applied on dry lips. But I usually apply it over a lip balm as my lips are dry and I like topping it with a gloss. The lip liner alone (when worn over a lip balm) has a staying power of 2 to 3 hours. It helps in making the lipstick stay an extra 2 hours (my AVON ultra color rich lipstick stayed fresh till lunch and left a mild stain after lunch) when applied under it and leaves a beautiful stain on fading. The shades available are huge. It took me 2 days to decide upon the shade.

2. The swatch in the website is of no use 🙂

Can’t think of anything else!
Do I recommend this? Yes definitely! It’s an awesome color which brightens the face!
Will I repurchase it? Definitely yes, but other colors! Am crazy about this pencil and have been using it almost everyday on my lips, either under lipstick or all by itself!
