My Experience with Nyx Makeup Remover & Cleansing Oil in One:

The packaging is a simple matte plastic bottle with a black screw-on cap; the amount of the product can be tracked due to this. The opening is small and dispenses right amount of product, if you need more, you can definitely squeeze out more. The ingredients are printed on the bottle.

The texture of the remover is like lightweight oil. It is pale green in color and has a light herbal fragrance to it. Only a little goes a long way so the 100gm bottle is going to last a pretty long time.

Coming to the effectiveness of the product, the oil works great as a makeup remover. It removes every bit of makeup on the face without much rubbing. But the problematic part is getting rid of the oil. Unlike the Mac Cleanse Off oil, this does not emulsify on coming in contact with water. So, you would need to follow up with a mild cleanser to get rid of the oily layer on the skin. If you have very dry skin, the oily feel might give relief to parched skin, but am not sure who likes the oily cast on the face!

Pros of Nyx Makeup Remover & Cleansing Oil in One:

• Removes makeup well.
• Plastic bottle, so, easy to carry.
• Mild herbal fragrance.
• No break out.
• Moisturizes skin.

  1. Thats sad Rashmita! Did you try using warm water – maybe that will help in the emulsification process. Without the emulsification, why would somebody go for this – might as well use coconut oil instead! I have been using Cleansing Oil exclusively for close to 1.5 years and have no wish to go back to the days of normal makeup remover.
