NYX Round Lipsticks: Heather and Thalia
As I already declared that I went on a NYX shopping spree recently and my reviews of my favourite NYX products have just started. So, here comes two my favourite NYX lipsticks, which are so favourite that I am carrying them to England at the moment for a short trip. The swatches are not so good as I am right now in a small town of England and was struggling to take pics in natural light close to the windows as u know sunshine and England don’t go hand in hand :toothygrin,” but thankfully, I managed to get some bouts of sunshine, which you can see in the background, but still will have to look for a spot with some good light for the upcoming reviews as the swatches are not so clear.
NYX Round Lipstick in Heather:
I got all of my NYX stuff from Cherry Culture and needless to say, I had to go by some swatches online to get an idea of the colors. Heather was a complete hit as I had no idea it would be so pretty in the mauve category. Thalia as you all know has been quite a popular shade, but its time to do some justice to the other not-so-famous shades like Heather. Some other pinks that I got were doll, but I am not carrying them to England, so but can surely tell you its nowhere close to these two and more of a hot pink lippy :stars:
Heather is the perfect combination of mauve plus dark pink and so creamy that you can see the tip is bending, not exactly melting in the warmers indoors here. The color is very very pigmented and true to the color in the tube. One swipe is more than enough to deliver the color. The best part about these lippies is that they are so creamy that these are a dry-lipped and creamy lippy girl’s dream. The packaging is also jolly good and not like those petty 2$ lipsticks on Cherry Culture. By the way, these costed me two dollars not to mention the huge shipping me and my friend, Rekha had to pay for shipping to India. :spank:
This color in one swipe is good for day/office wear in my opinion and more suited to pinker and duskier skin than those with yellow undertones. Glides on like butter, these are better than may be some lip creams you may have tried. Get your hands on some soon!
NYX Lipstick in Thalia:
I got this one as I heard this name a lot of times to miss or ignore. I very well knew it will be a nice light mauve, almost nude for me. I am not so comfy with mauve, but I love this to pair it up with darker lippies as a top coat on its own, it may wash out many. Looks best when paired with darker eye makeup. Don’t get it if you are yellower in skin tone or if you are dusky, it may wash you out. It does wash me out as well, but I try to pair it up with some other lippy. I got this along as it’s a safe color, but it does not do anything to brighten up your complexion at all.
NYX lippies in round are any lipstick lovers dream. These are creamy, pigmented, smooth and glide on like butter on the lips. With so many shades on offer, everyone can take a pick. These don’t melt or sweat, but may bend at the tip due to the creamy consisteny and for the same reason, these will get over very very soon because they glide on and the texture is not at all hard. These are two my favourites with Heather being the more favourite. I recommend Heather to pinker skin tones. About Thalia, make sure to check it well as it may wash many Indian skin tones out.
