This is my first article on IMBB and I’m sooo excited and nervous..I’ve been following IMBB for months now and finally got up the nerve to write something. Please do let me know if any improvements are to be made. So here goes…
I’ve been buying Oriflame stuff for the longest time..I think its been 10yrs or so and I’m continually amazed at the new products they introduce. Hence, when I went through the April catalog and saw some new products, I knew I had to have them.
I would be reviewing all the products one-by-one and I’ve also included the Item code as well since I know some would find it easy to order the same product from their agents.
Oriflame Beauty Wild West Couture Lipstick
For the longest time, I have been looking for a lipstick which is my original lip shade but better (Hope you guys know what I’m trying to say). Hence, when I saw this lipstick in such a cuuuuuteee package in the April catalog and that too on discount, I jumped at the opportunity to buy this.
Product Claim: Incredibly moisturizing lipstick in delicate, pale mauve. The smooth, matte finish leaves your lips looking beautifully soft while the subtle, medium coverage finish adds a chic touch of colour.

My take on the product: I have mixed feelings for this lipstick. I love this shade since its exactly what I wanted. Additionally, its soooo creamy and glides beautifully on the lips and is super moisturizing. I love the color, the texture and the way it looks. The biggest plus point is that it covers the pigmented corners of my lips which I hate hate hate! The medium coverage claim holds true.
But wait..this lippy has some negatives as well. After 20mins or so it just settles into the fine lines of my lips 🙁 Plus, the staying power is very, very disappointing; it faded withing 1.5hrs or so..The only consolation is that it didn’t dry my lips like a lot of other lipsticks which settle into the fine lines.

• A lovely subtle shade which would suit almost everyone.
• Very affordable even at the original price of INR 398
• Great to conceal any pigmentation on the lips
• Very creamy and moisturizing
Cons of Oriflame Beauty Wild West Couture Lipstick
• Packaging can be better. This packaging looks pretty but while handling it feels very fragile
• Settles into fine line unless worn with a lip balm or gloss
• Staying power leaves a lot to be desired.
• Its too creamy and need to swipe 2-3 times to get the desired pigmentation
• Not too buildable and would be a total no-no for those who like full coverage.
Will I buy it again: No. But thats just because the lipstick settles into the fine lines of my lips which I dont like and the the poor staying power. Those who dont have the issue of fine lines and don’t mind frequent application may feel differently.
Rating: 3.5/5 ( -1 for staying power, -.5 for the packaging)

I got this too but did not suit me at all….so I gave it to my sister coz she is much fair and has thinner lips 😛
I agree with the staying power….you can try using this on similar lip liner…will last you much longer. :))

The shade is really nice n creamy..but since I have the problem of fine lines, it pretty much looks sad on me in about 30mins or so… 🙁
moisturize your lips well…this will help with fine line. wipe the lip balm with tissue before applying your lip pencil and lipstick. 🙂
have you tried plumping lipsticks or lipglosses? They make fine lines disappear. 😉

Na re…I’ve never tried plumping lippies…I have very sensitive skin :shy: and hence, m always concerned that plumping lippies will result in some negative reactions…Any idea on which brand would be gud to try out for sensi lips??

Nudes or subtle lippies are pretty dicey to pick according to me..it can go either ways..It can either give a lovely look or make one luk washed out completely..
That shade is nice…..wish it did not have so many cons

The lipstick wud have been fine had it not had such a sad staying power and settled into my lips.. 🙁 Aise kyun hota hai ke perfect shade jab milta hai to kuch aur gadbad hota hai…

Hehe..Well, April had loadsa offers..This month is pretty thanda comparatively…but then, Oriflame always comes up with some new stuff every 2nd month or so..So we always have the chance to make-up for lost time 😉

me too..when i and my friend saw this shade on the catalogue, we both wanted to try it, but somehow ended up selecting giordani ones… glad we did so, cos the giordani ones are amazing.. 😉 😉
Really? I have never tried the Giordani ones..I recall a friend mentioning that it has a weird fragrance…Is it so?

It’s Lakme Enrich Satins 134! Maybe it’s a slightly darker shade, but I layer it with the nivea lipgloss, so it turns out to be lighter! :-* :-* :-*
