Hello girls, hope you all had fun this holi. Oriflame gives so many options with cosmetics and during offers they are at amazing prices. Such was the price of this lipstick and hence I could not resist. Today I will review Oriflame’s Hydracolour lipstick in shade ‘Pink Cloudburst’.
Price: INR 398/- (I got it at discount price of 249/- in this month’s brochure)

What Oriflame claims about this lipstick?
Moisturizing, sheer lipstick with incredible shine. Prevents skin damage and conditions.
Shades available: In all 8 shades- PeachTempest, Copper Stream, Coral Storm, Berry Mist, Pink Cloudburst, Crimson Torrent, Summer Haze and Bronze Rain. All are sheer shades with medium coverage.
My take
I had got the sample first to try. I always buy full coverage lipsticks. So I wanted to try a sheer lippie for a change. I am so much into pinks these days. So I finally got myself this soft pink color. Ok I really don’t like sheer lipsticks but I have to admit I did like this. It provided a medium coverage giving a soft moisturized sheen on lips. It gives a nice glossy finish so you can skip the gloss when using this lipsticks. It’s more like a tinted lip balm with a little more pigmentation.

You can see how sheer and lightly pigmented it is just like a tinted lip balm.
This is how it looks on my lips. Just gives a hint of color.
Pros of Oriflame Hydracolour Lipstick
• Highly moisturizing.
• Looks good with a dramatic eye-makeup when you don’t want OTT lips.
• Gives a nice sheer glossy finish.
• Quite reasonable if bought during the offer.
Cons of Oriflame Hydracolour Lipstick
• Very sheer looks like a tinted lip balm on my pigmented lips 😛
• Costly without the offer.
• Staying power is not much. Just couple of hours. Hence requires frequent touch-ups.
• Can be bought from an oriflame consultant only.
• Limited shades (only 8)
Will I buy it again? I think No. I prefer full coverage, pigmented lipsticks over sheer ones.

Its sheer. But if u have pigmented lips like me then use a nude lipliner all over lips and then apply such lighter shades :))
the color in the case looks pretty…. wish it was actually so…. but it still looks good on u jinal 🙂

i too was tempted by this range but did not try it because i never am sure of the shades from the catalogue…. i toh even don’t like some shades on my lips after having loved the swatches on my hand….!
yeah Anks……it looks like tinted lip balm. No I have not layered it with any lippie. Its just this lippie.

Jomol…..yes you can get samples. This lippies are for 19 or 29 per sample. I do the same. Get samples. And get those which I like. But for this I cud not get sample :(( as it was out of stock. So just got tempted with the offer price.

I have it in summer burst and I simply love the color but it is too sheer with very little staying power.

I have this in summer haze….. though its moisturizing this makes my lips ultra dry……. phew
