How’s life at your end. 🙁 It’s been raining here since weekend and feels as if I am drenched in rain inside & outside. I was feeling nostalgic when I started writing this article! God knows why my life events were always unplanned; I was busy making lovely memories with my “daa daa”, when suddenly one day he blindly engaged me to someone whom I never met in my life! Sounds weird but true, even my parents & brother didn’t met him in person, just met his parents and in just 2-3 days our wedding date was aired! We both met in person just a month before our big day, when our wedding invitation cards & even attires were finalized. :P! Initially I was totally mad on my father and even in anger I told him to send me as distant as possible so that I’ll never come back to my home.. 🙁 Unfortunately my rubbish words proved true and I came thousand miles away from my home just a month after our wedding. My last step towards airport was toughest moment of my life, I could not turn my face up as I was not strong enough to face tear filled eyes of my parents! Life in lone US with all time busy hubby, whom I hardly knew since a month was another unplanned destiny which taught me new lessons and strengthened me in every aspect. Thankfully Aadya compelled my parents to visit us and make unforgettable memories for all of us! However, still this song “babul mera naihar choote jaye” ends up tears in my eyes… :’) as it reminds me of my mistake, I have’nt been to my home since day of wedding.. 🙁 Hey lets move on to my new Revlon Colorstay eye liner dearies, which almost compelled me to shed tears… :p

My Experience with Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner Crayon
I was happy to get a soft, smooth and easy gliding eye liner after a long time. As the name says, it’s an exact blend of golden, copper & brown shade, neither totally brown nor completely golden! Am still not able to define its shade as everytime it looks different on eyes! I wonder how it shimmers on eyes when it’s absolutely matte shade as per hand swatches. Thankfully it does not tug or pull eyes, it’s very soft and glides smoothly over both lashes. However, I feel it is unsafe for waterline because everytime it ended up tears in my eyes and didn’t come up well on waterline.. 😛 Once I was cutting onion with this liner on, and I cried almost everytime I kept knife over poor onion, I was surprised as onions rarely gave me tears here! Next day I just asked my hubby to do it for me, still I was shedding tears like hell and it was unbearable stinging! Since then I fear putting it on closer to upper lash line, just keep it away from lashes as the moment it touches lashes and mixes with eyes fluid, you are gone… 😛 Other than that it’s okay for putting on occasionally provided you are not touching onions.. hi hi 😀 Coming over other points, it is truly smudge proof inspite of my oily lids and remains undisturbed even after splashing water on face. But it does not have 16 hours staying power; on my oily eye lids it hardly stayed for 8 hours. Still I would say Its good in every aspect except stinging. However, am going to purchase pure brown shade in other brand.

Well despite this con, am wearing it offcourse far away from upper lash line & waterline.. 😀 Not a must try product just a one time try. Atleast for its long lasting smooth & soft texture!

I’ve been away from home ever since college and very rarely get the opportunity to visit my parents, so I am used to this feeling, although I do get a little homesick sometimes.
Coming to the eyeliner, maybe you can use this as an eyeshadow base and blend it.
i am away from home since five years too, though i do get to visit twice a year. but home’s home’s… we all miss it 🙁 :'(

I can totally understand what you feel.. and yeah.. West.. in particularly in winters, can make us nostalgic! I used to get depressed in those long sun-less days and missed Indian noise, dust, people, colors and above all my home!
But it is just a phase.. will pass away and you will enjoy with your hubby in a foreign land.. just you and hubby. Focus on your relationship with him and give it a very strong foundation. 😀

awww..don’t b sad neetu.. all of us go thru this phase. i am away from my home since 7 years.. earlier +1,+2 now college.. n i still have 4-5 years of more studying 🙁 though i can’t compare my experience with urs because u rnt in the same country, but still i would say that almost every girl has this problem after marriage.. we just have to learn to adjust 🙁

i you wat you are going thru but on the brighter side you are in US and can experiment and try lots of makeup 😀 i always tend to keep myself busy with something or else..i too have been away from my family since started working and now its been almost 7 years so can totally relate to it 🙂 dont worry things will settle down soon..try to keep your self busy, learn different stuff etc

Yeah u r rt.. I use to divert myself thru hobby classes & volunteer jobs & Slowly slowly things are better as now i have aadya to keep me busy 24×7.. 🙂 however, Wherever we’ll be there are some times which make u feel nostalgic!! Am a mother, a wife but still from heart am a small daughter and whenever i see aadya chirruping wid her daddy, that small daughter starts missing her parents…!! Anyways, am glad to hear from u all,,, i have so many lovely people around to make my day.. 🙂 Thank god i got one shade similar to faces now!!

aww neetu. I toh stay only 3 hours from my home and I miss my parents so much. Even tough I had a love marriage and i have known Sanjeev 5 years before we got married but you can’t help but miss your family back there. Today morning only i was missing mom ke haath ke besan ke pure. So I made some for myself 😛 but still.
