My Experience with Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain – Crush Beguin:
I had heard great things about the Revlon Just bitten line. They have two types of stains – matte finish and the satin finish balm which both come in the same chubby stick format which twists up to reveal the product, hence no hassle of sharpening. Also, love the fact that the shade of the lip product is reflected on the tube which makes it very easy to find among your other lip products.
This balm stain is very easy to apply and it glides on very smoothly. It has pretty good pigmentation, but a couple of swipes are needed to get a completely opaque and even coverage. There is no tugging on pulling while applying this on lips, which I was highly pleased with.
The shade “Crush Beguin” is a deep pinkish plum with lots of tiny specks of golden and purple shimmer. The shimmer specks are not too visible when applied on the lips. The shimmer doesn’t feel gritty nor are they left behind on the lips after the lip color fades away. This shade is dark enough to be perfect for fall/winter wear, yet it is not too dark as one would think twice about whether they could pull it off. This shade will flatter most skin tones – from light to dark.
The finish of this is very satiny. It’s not too glossy but it gives a considerable shine which does settle down in an hour or so. I love the fact that it leaves behind a very strong stain on the lips which lingers for hours after the lipstick has worn off which is a huge plus for me as I am one of those people who unconsciously eat their lipsticks off their lips. I am never left with barren lips even when I have applied this is the morning and when I check back in the night. Minimal touch up is required and it does easily wear through eating and drinking. Staying power is about 6-8 on me (including the staining effect).
Feel on lips:
This product feels incredibly lightweight on lips. Initially, it does feel very much like a lip balm, very smooth, but not too slippery. It does not settle into the fine lips of the lips and has an incredible moisturizing feel on the lips. I have very dry and chapped lips most of the time and this has never given me any problems. Even after the lip color fades away, the stain still feels moisturizing on the lips.
Overall, I really love this product. I would definitely recommend this product to one and all, especially this shade is perfect if you are looking for a good fall/winter color.
