Trying new brands has become my hobby now. So in this wave, I thought of trying this eye shadow from Rimmel London. I have heard good things about this brand and wanted to get my hands on a product from Rimmel London.

So todays review is about Rimmel London Glam Eyes HD 007 Heart of Gold.
There seems to be 6 versions of these.

Packaging: There are a total of 4 eye shadows in a rectangular sleek black eye shadow palette. It has a see through top which enables easy identification of the colors. A two sided applicator is also provided in the palette. It opens and shuts with a click.

My Experience With Rimmel London Glam Eyes HD 007 Heart of Gold:

Heart of Gold is a pretty combination of four colors divided into a criss cross design in the palette. They have also mentioned which color is to be used where right at the bottom of the palette. Color #1 is supposed to be used as a highlighter. It is a very pretty Rose gold color.

The #2 color is a pretty silvery Bronze shade to be used on the lid. The #3 color is a pure Gold color to be used on the crease and the #4 color is a Brown Bronze to be used on the outer corner of the eyes. Although there are number of combinations that can be made with these colors, the one that the company mentions on the palette indeed looks pretty.

These four shades have an amazingly creamy texture and give a soft and smooth finishing. There are no glitters or shimmer particles in it but yes these eye shadows have finishing of those foiled eye colors. Not matte but not too shimmery either.
Pigmentation is good too. These are not very dark shades and so can be used on a daily basis. They look brighter and the staying power is also increased if a primer is applied below. It normally lasts on me for like 4-5 hours without a primer.

These do blend in easily. They are not at all chalky. Also these are not waterproof. The applicator provided seems to be of no use to me. Although it has smooth ends, I personally feel a lot of color remains on the applicator and is wasted. I prefer applying with fingers. But here comes the second problem. As you can see from the palette, the colors are distributed in 4 parts and that too in a design. I find it a little difficult to pick up the color with my fingers.
These do not crease but it’s better to use an oil absorbent base to be safe. The palette has colors which can be used on their own or in combinations and also, as a highlighter. All in all a good palette which provides variations that can be used daily.

Definitely. A real good payoff for the given money.

Would I repurchase Rimmel London Glam Eyes HD 007 Heart of Gold?
Not this one, as this would go for a long time but definitely other variants from this same range.
