Today I will share with you all my thoughts on a gorgeous lip shade ‘Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in Metallic Lustre’. Read on to know more about it.

Packaging: Packaging is classy. It comes in a deep burgundy colored case with the Rimmel’s logo on top. There is a silver band in between the case and the cap. Packaging is travel friendly but I don’t like it much. The shade name is written at the bottom of the case.

My take on Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in Metallic Lustre:

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick in Metallic Lustre is purplish pink in colour with lots of shimmer. This gives a shiny look on my lips. It also goes with my skin tone. Firstly I didn’t like it at all. But my mom says that it really suits you. After repeated assurance now I believe that too.

Personally I love matte lipsticks more than the sheer one. But those shimmers in this lipstick travel here and there around my lips after some time of application. This is really weird. When I apply this, my lips look so shiny for those shimmers but after some time when the color settle down , it serves a glow to my face.

Now come to the staying power. This is truly a long lasting lipstick. It stays forever on my lips ( he he  not literally) . but it stays there almost 6-7 hours, also with meals. No doubt that I have food carefully. Though there is enough color so I don’t feel the need to reapply this. But those shimmers.. errrr.. they start traveling here and there around the lips.

But I don’t love the smell at all. It is kind of strong medicinal smell. I would be very happy with it if the shimmer was there in a less amount. As it claims to give a metallic finish, it serves a glittery finish instead.

This shade is nicely pigmented and gives a good coverage. More pigmented lips may find it effective for them. It also does not dry out my lips. And also glides easily.
