Rimmel London Lasting Finish Mono Blusher-Santa Rose 001
Lipsticks are lipsticks but I can never stop buying blushers too. I have tried Rimmel London lipsticks, pressed powders and lipliner and they all impressed me. This is last year’s purchase, long forgotten, which I have brought up for review today. Let’s see why did forget using it; was it a dud, not upto my expectations or something else replaced it!!! Let’s investigate the reasons and performance of this blusher.

My experience with Rimmel London Lasting Finish Mono Blusher-Santa Rose:
The fact is neutral blushers are my forever love because I can wear them at office or anywhere casually without looking over the top. Rimmel London Blusher-Santa Rose comes in a trapezoidal packaging with transparent cover and a crown embossed on the top of the blush. I just revisited their website for product description and noticed that they have changed the packaging to a rectangular pan now; also confirmed from international blogosphere that the product is same just the shape of pan has been changed. The packaging looks of good plastic material and is really sturdy and travel friendly; just carry your own blush brush. The only con in the packaging is that it is difficult to open and may damage you effort fully grown nails.
The finely milled, smooth and silky texture of Santa Rose contains a visible hint of golden shimmer particles. Although the shade looks dull yet shimmery in the pan, it isn’t the same when applied on cheeks. On application, it comes out to be a beautiful neutral peach shade; some might find a hint of pink in too but pink isn’t dominant on the formula. The shimmer is minute and doesn’t actually visibly come out on cheeks but rather adds a subtle glow and a radiant flush to the cheeks. For sure, this is a day wear blush to be combined with brown, neutrals, coral and nude lipsticks. It is a perfect shade for casual outing make-up and daily office use. This may not work good for dusky skin tones as the color is subtle and shows up on fair and medium skins. Also, might not work well for heavy make-up looks. However, the pigmentation is really good so it can be built up to desired intensity. The noticeable part is its blend-ability; super blendable like butter. The texture isn’t chalky at all, infact it has a silky feel with praise worthy pigmentation. The staying power is four hours for my quite oily skin but when weather is moderate, it might last long. Also, I always wear it in office or casual make-up looks and that’s when I skip primer and foundation which affects its longevity. With all these factors, this will definitely be a long lasting blush for you.
