Talking about favorite summer essentials let me introduce this beautiful summery pink lip liner from Sephora Collection! Off late I realized significance of sporting soft lighter lip colors. Considering summers around, I am all into lighter pinks, corals, mauve pinks these days and as they say it is advisable to wear lip liner or primer beneath lighter shades to make them highlight your assets and not your weaker points. My Experience with Sephora Collection Cashmere Pink Rouge Gel Lip Liner:
The liner comes in color coordinated retractable pen packaging with built in sharpener much to our liking. I find it pretty user friendly and travel friendly product & packaging over all.
My shade “Cashmere Pink” is described as matte pink mauve liner which seems true to its description except the fact that it comes up bit glossy and creamy in finish. I simply love this muted pink shade on my skin as it comes up as an MLBB pink on my pale skin tone with or without makeup. I am definitely counting on this color for summers. It gives nearly full coverage to my lips concealing minor-medium lip pigmentations very well; perfect for beauties with pigmented lips.
Coming to the texture, it is soft and non-tugging on my lips yet it maintains the firmness/stiffness of tip, impressive huh! It glides easily on my dry normal lips without sitting in lip lines or setting over dry patches even though it is not a hydrating lip product. I mean it neither feels overtly dry for my lips nor does it hydrate my lips as long as it stays on lips. It may feel tricky on dry parched lips because initially it does feel glossy creamy on lips but it soon settles onto bit matte, semi-creamy color which may emphasize minor lip flaws like those lip lines and/or dry parched lips. Hence a well scrubbed, moisturizing session is advised before sporting this formula and color.
However it is not as glossy slippery as “Its Cherry” thankfully and this explains its versatile usage as all over lip color or simply as lip liner beneath matching color. Like I find it equally good for using beneath creamy, non-creamy lipsticks/lip stains or even glosses as it enhances the wear time, finish and color pay off of lighter pink shades on my skin tone.
At times I have worn it alone with no lip balm beneath or gloss to top and it looked as fresh, as pigmented like any normal semi-creamy lipstick. It gave me nearly 4-5 hours of wear time alone with slight fading post meal time while it helps with long lasting staying power of most of my lip colors. Honestly this is what I expect from my ideal lip liner. I think it would depend on person to person as to what you are looking for in a lip liner, like I want a non-creamy, non-glossy just neat clean base for my lips while sometimes I prefer bit glossy hydrating formula as per weather & lip texture. Hence I might get it again as I simply love this pretty color, texture and color pay off.

• A beautiful semi-glossy muted mauve-pink lip liner.
• Non-tugging, non-sticky and easily glides on lips.
• Imparts nearly full color pay off.
• Forgiving to minor dryness and mild-deeper pigmentations.
• Neither sits in lip lines nor settles over dry patches.
• Won’t emphasize dryness or lip lines.
• Neither overtly creamy nor overtly drying for my lips.
• Good enough to use alone as lip color.
• Non-slippery texture makes it good to use beneath lip products.
• Stays put for 4-5 hours alone.
• Enhances wear time and color pay off of lip makeup.
• Quite user friendly, travel friendly packaging.
Cons of Sephora Collection Cashmere Pink Rouge Gel Lip Liner:
• Definitely disappointing for true matte lip liner fans.
• May be tricky for dry parched lips.
• Does not seem like lip liner ideally.
• Transfers.
