My Experience with Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Matte Lip 3D Lip Colour and Sculpt Pretty Muted:
Packaging: It comes in a basic color-coded crayon tube. The nice chubby crayon is lightweight. The cap shuts tight and it’s easy to carry around in a bag. The shade name is mentioned on the base of the crayon. It is retractable and has an easy-to-use bullet.
Let me start off by saying that I don’t reach out for this crayon very often, the primary reason being the shade. This shade will work well on fair skin tones. Pale to fair complexion, preferably with cool undertones will really like this color. It is a pretty pink shade, quite light and wearable. On my tanned skin, I need to balance it out with appropriate makeup to make it work. Hence on rush days, I would rather wear a plum or magenta shade, something that I can carry with panache.
The texture isn’t great. I have another shade from this range which I like a lot. This crayon has a slightly waxy texture, and tends to accentuate my lip lines, so I have to be careful about prepping and priming my lips – too much work for just a lipstick! The bullet has a nice shape, convenient to apply the lipstick evenly, even on the edges.
It sets to a semi-matte finish, with a slight sheen. If I have a good base on, this looks decent. It survives slight snacking and sipping, and gives a wear time of 4 hours. However, I feel the slightly waxy texture on my lips and don’t like it much. With the market being flooded with lip products, I would rather pick something which would tick all the boxes for me. With this lip crayon, I compromise on a number of aspects – color, texture and comfort.
