The lipstick I am about to review today is from the Ultramoist range launched by Streetwear in June this year. Apparently, the lipsticks from this range have been quite talked about this season, especially because they come at a really affordable price!

Additionally, Streetwear claims that the lipsticks from the Ultramoist range are not just pocket-friendly but these are enriched with vitamins that keep your lips ultra moisturized lips throughout the day. Let’s find out how much of the claims made are really true!

My experience with Streetwear Chic Cappuccino Ultra Moist Lipstick :

Since the lipsticks from the Ultramoist Range of Streetwear have been much talked about all through the season, I knew it would sad if I didn’t pick one to try out. Plus, above all I really wanted to test out how good these lipsticks are when it comes to hydrating the lips. I have read a couple of reviews on IMBB itself about different lipsticks from this range and somehow every reviewer has a different take on it, depending on the lipstick they were reviewing. So, I guess the hydrating factor is more associated to the individual lipsticks from this range rather than the range itself.

Anyways, the shade I picked to review today is “Chic Cappucino 14”. I am a big fan of browns since they make a really nice alternative to nude shades so naturally when I saw a lipstick in the range named after my all time favourite brown shade (Cappuccino Brown), I had to try it out! 😀

Cappucino brown shade as the name suggests, is often used to describe the shade close to cappucino (Yeah, the coffee). But when I first looked Chic Cappucino, it looked anything but like cappucino brown. However, this perception lasted only for a brief while, the beautiful brown shade (which I was hoping for), eventually came out as soon as I tried the lipstick on.  Also, the lipstick is packed with tiny glitters, (which was a concern for me), but they are not visible per se as you apply the lipstick. So if you are not really a glitter lover – you don’t have to worry about that!

Chic Cappucino is actually a build-able lipstick shade – so you can build the shade up as per your liking. (See the differences between one and multiples swatches of the shade.) This shade also has a stain to it, which makes it last for longer duration. I guess mine lasted easily for about 4 hours, but after that you have to reapply it.
Now as far as the claims about the lipstick being Ultramoist is concerned – I really did not find it moisturizing at all. Yes, the lipstick does appear creamy, but I found it more towards the matte side. Worse of all, it definitely did not leave my lips moisturized at all. So as far as the ultra hydrating claim is concerned – I am a bit disappointed.

Advice on applying it – Be careful while building up the shade – It might appear cakey and get in between your finer lines. Also, to give it a more moisturized look, apply lip balm underneath.

Pros of Streetwear Chic Cappuccino Ultra Moist Lipstick :

•  Lasts for about 3-4 hours without reapplying
•  Colour – Nice brown buildable cappucino shade
•  Expiry – 3 years

Cons of Streetwear Chic Cappuccino Ultra Moist Lipstick :

•  Appears somewhat creamy – more on the matte side though.
•  Does not possess highly hydrating powers as the brand claims.
• Building up the lipstick at some point might give a cakey appeal – so you have to be careful while building it up.
  No ingredient list on the lipstick .

I guess I like my lipsticks more on the moisturized side, so I will be on a lookout for alternatives.

Yes, if the matte texture is not a problem for you. This is definitely pocket-friendly option.
