I love Sugar cosmetics lipsticks so much. The brand has recently added a new range of crème lipsticks in their collection – Sugar Cosmetics Never Say Dry Crème Lipstick. Today, I am reviewing the shade Dial M For Magenta from the same range. Read on to know more about this perfect festive shade.

My Experience with Sugar Cosmetics Never Say Dry Creme Lipstick 02 Dial M For Magenta:

Beginning with packaging of the product – the lipstick comes in a nice rust orange and black-colored cardboard box. The shade name is printed on the front side of the box. The product details like the ingredients list etc. has been printed on this box. The lipstick tube comes housed in this box. The tube has the same matte black packaging like their “vivid lipstick” range.

The shade name is also mentioned the front side of the tube as well. The brand name is also embossed on it in simple white fonts. The packaging is opaque and it is not color coded so it is not very easy to spot the shades from stash. The lipstick cap is also matte black in color and shuts very securely making a click sound and ensures that it is fit for carrying around. Overall, the packaging is sturdy and travel friendly.

The brand has launched this range of crème lipsticks in five beautiful shades. I have picked “M For Magenta” which is bold and bright – a perfect festive color. I do not have many purples or magenta in my collection, so I decided to get this one rather than the subtle colors. “M for Magenta” is a bright magenta shade with some purple hues. The color is bright and great for this festive season. The shade is flattering for almost all Indian skin tones. This shade reminds me of the shade “Mary Poppins” from Sugar Cosmetics Matte As Hell Crayons. But Mary Poppins is more towards pinkish undertone while this one is more purple.

The color is vibrant and it instantly brightens up my face. The shade is bold and it may not be everyone’s cup of tea. It is a perfect party shade and looks lovely on the lips. The lipstick does not contain any shimmer or chunky glitter, and sets to a healthy crème finish. The lipstick is not super glossy. It has slight sheen, which gives a healthier appearance to the lips. The color payoff of the lipstick is great. One swipe is good enough to deposit deep opaque color to the lips. It hides the pigmented lips very well.

I have fallen in love with the texture of this lipstick. It is incredibly soft and smooth. Hence, it glides on the lips like a dream without causing any tugging or pulling of the lips. Despite being creamy smooth in texture, the lipstick bullet does not melt or break from its base. The creamy formula is very nourishing and prevents my lips from drying out. The lipstick never clings to dry patches of the lips. It gives a nice plumped up effect to the lips.

The formula is feathery light and feels comfortable on the lips. There is no stickiness in the formula and it does not feel like sitting on the lips. Due to its creamy formulation, the lipstick has the tendency to transfer. This is the only con of this lipstick but I am kind of okay with this as this happens with almost every crème finish lipstick. Since, it is super pigmented, the color stays on the lips even after transferring and looks even. The lipstick is super moisturizing and hydrating in nature. It nourishes the lips very well and keeps them healthy. My lips stay healthy and nourished throughout the day. Those who have problem of dry lips; this range is definitely worth trying. I quite love the formulation so I am planning to include more shades to my collection. This is an amazing range for the winters when the lips get super dry. The lipstick has a very mild and non-bothering smell. The lipstick never gets patchy. It does not have creasing issues. It does not settle into the fine lines of my lips.

The lasting power is of the lipstick is around 5-6 hours on my lips without any meals. The color fades away after a meal and hence requires reapplication. The formula is non staining and can be easily taken off using a good makeup remover.
