My Experience with Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Single Unchained:
The eyeshadow comes in a very cute small black container with a clear lid that makes it easy to identify the shade. It is a small, lightweight and travel-friendly packaging. Also, these are super affordable too.
Now the shade I picked up is called ‘Unchained’, which is a beautiful grey shade with a silver sheen to it. It looks shiny and subtle on the lids. The shade is perfect for creating a nice base color; it defines the crease and blends the shades well, too. Colors like this act as a nice transition shade too.
I personally love grey eye makeup. The shade contains finely milled shimmer particles that never look overpowering at all. Also, the shade is pigmented enough to get a nice color payoff on the eyes but I have to layer it up to get that perfect color.
The eyeshadow has a soft, smooth texture that blends so well on the lids and gives a beautiful, smooth and shiny finish. The formula works nicely and gets easily blended with other different formulated shades. I love its soft texture and gives a perfect natural look. It never feels patchy or powdery.
It is also a lightweight shadow that never makes the lids dry. It also doesn’t have the fall out issue. I can easily blend the shade with the fingers too. These are perfect for beginners who don’t want to invest a lot of money on a single product but want some good quality products as well.
Now, I have an oily lid so I prefer to use a primer underneath this product to make it a long-lasting shadow, and a primer helps to increase the color intensity as well. With a primer, it last around 4-5 hours without any mess. After that, the color looks slightly faded. Also, shimmers are easy to remove from the eyes. They don’t crease or settle into the fine lines.
Overall, it’s a very basic well-formulated shadow that gives a beautiful smooth finish on the eyes. I love this shade as it is very useful for all types of eye makeup.
