Don’t we all just love this brand – Wet n Wild? I always wish for them to come to India at almost the same pricing as in the US. They have some unbelievable lipstick shades and shadows at unbeatable prices. Overall, I do own some palettes and a few of them have survived the fall. My Experience with Wet n Wild Tunnel Vision Color Icon Eye Shadow Palette:
I must say this a very bold “off beat” palette. I have never seen so many colorless eyeshadows together 😛 – all grey, whites and blacks. If you love to smudge kohl, or if you love setting your kohl with a black shadow, then read on. This could be all you wanted. For smokey eyes, we may choose a brown or a black. Black smokey eyes could be harsh, so opting for a grey shade could be a better option. This palette has everything you may need to create smokey eyes with all black tones. This is ideal for kajal wearers. This could be your kit for night-time makeup, don’t forget to pair it with neutral lips.
The colors as you can see are five tones of white and grey shades. The white base is slightly chalky, nevertheless it is very smooth. I don’t recommend using this all over the eyes for warm skin tones because it will stand out. For the brow bone shade, this can again stand out, so go easy, we don’t want a grey brow bone. Blend it well if you are always used to golden toned brow bone highlight.
For the eyelid, the metallic grey shade is so beautiful. You can pack it on the eyelid, or place in the centre of the lid. It looks very wearable for all skin tones. This grey can be worn anytime of the day with your kajal. For the crease color, it is very strong, a strong shimmery black. You really need to go easy with this one. There is slight fall out, like any other black shade that you would use. Once you blend, the shimmery finish vanishes. So, don’t be afraid to use a shimmer black for the crease. You might take time to blend it for the crease, I feel scared of most blacks for my eyes; blending is a task.
My most favourite thing about this palette is the definer shade. It is just perfect for setting a pencil liner. This is something you can use daily for smudge kohl and slightly set it with pencil brush. If you use a pencil liner on top, set it with this, it is beautiful when used like this. The texture is just perfect and there is only minimal fall out.
Overall, I am pleased with the texture a lot, fall out is minimum – everyone will find a color that can become their favorite in this palette. The colors are well thought of, slightly chalky, but nothing bothersome. You will not be disappointed with this palette. If you want the colors to last on your eyelids, a primer beneath is recommended. Otherwise, 3-4 hours of wear can be expected.
