Yardley London English Lavender Perfumed Talc-Review
Hello all the great people on IMBB. I guess writing for this blog is going to become an addiction for me as well.
Yardley of London is one of the famous brands for talcum powders, and I really feel it deserves to be famous. I’m actually not a great talcum powder fan, but this talc made me one. At my home, Yardley London English Rose variant is present everywhere, however, I’m more into lavender. This one’s absolutely for lavender fragrance lovers like me.
It has been over a month since Im using this talc, and it makes almost the entire vicinity filled with the amazing lavender scent. As I don’t use talcum powders that regularly, take a long time to finish a pack and due to winters coming up, I thought to fetch a pack of 100g, but this is also available in a smaller pack of 50 g and a bigger one of 200g.
Rs. 60/- for 100 g
The pack is violet colored with a picture of lavender flowers on it. It has a tin packaging and a twist-open cap pattern (common with most of the talcum powders), with a seal and a hologram of “Yardley London”. The first time when I opened the seal and twisted the cap, the smell of lavender, freshened me up.
Super fine talc, calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, fragrance, dipropylene glycol, calcium silicate, triclosan (Deo Factor)
What it claims:
It takes the world’s finest natural lavender oils and over 200 years’ expertise to create Yardley English Lavender. This fine, silky Talcum Powder will leave your skin feeling soft, fresh and delicately scented all day.
My experience with Yardley London English Lavender Perfumed Talc:
The claims mentioned on the pack are true, its real fine and silky and the fragrance. I love it totally. It smells of lavender flowers and lavender oils. It doesn’t brighten my skin or leave a whitish layer, it’s like its getting absorbed and I like this fact about the talc.
Its stays on my skin for about 3 hours, till then you can feel the fragrance lingering on your skin. However, the intensity of the fragrance reduces after 1.5-2 hours. It also makes my skin feel softer and smoother. I usually apply it on my face and neck before I go out, and it’s really effective as talc.
In winters, I don’t advise using the talc before moisturizing the skin as it leaves the skin a bit dry, similar to any other talc. But it can always be a good choice for the summers. Overall, it’s great as lavender talc, it’s worth Rs.60!! If you don’t like the other variants of Yardley then, this one’s really nice. I’ve even used Pond’s lavender talc, but this one is the best.
Pros of Yardley London English Lavender Perfumed Talc:
• Its Fragrance: It’s like real lavender flowers.
• Leaves the skin soft and smooth after application.
• Stays for quite a long time on the skin.
• The talc itself is quite silky and smooth.
• It doesn’t leave the skin brightened.
• It helps in controlling sweat.
• It has a good long shelf life.
Cons of Yardley London English Lavender Perfumed Talc:
• Priced a bit higher than other contemporary brands.
• May not be useful for certain skin types, especially in winters.
• Fragrance intensity reduces after sometime.
Will I repurchase Yardley London English Lavender Perfumed Talc?
Yes, totally love it.
