My Experience with Yes To Carrots Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15:
I am a lazy person, I have to admit that. Many a times, I skip applying a sunscreen when my moisturizer does not contain SPF. So, I always look for day moisturizers that have SPF and one such drugstore find is this one. This one comes in a plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. Its very handy and the pump lets you get controlled amount of product. This has a soft creamy texture. It goes on very smoothly on the skin.
After application, there is absolutely no white cast due to the SPF content. Once applied, it might look a little oily, but just after a minute, it settles down nicely.
I have combination skin. This moisturizer keeps my skin moisturized throughout the day. I was using it throughout summer and also during a little colder weather. It worked in both seasons.
It does not clog pores. I have combination skin and it is usual for my t-zone to become a little oily during the course of the day. Otherwise, it does not disturb the makeup that I wear on top.
My only concern is the low SPF. I prefer at least SPF 30 in my day time moisturizer. I wish they come up with a higher SPF number soon with same quality.
Once the content is over, the pump stops working and there is no way to open the bottle and use the remaining product and I am not even sure how much is left inside. I pay around $15 for just 50 ml of a drugstore product and I don’t get to use it completely 😐
Let me jot down the pro’s and con’s of this product:
Pros of Yes To Carrots Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15:
- Simple lightweight moisturizer that works for normal to combination skin.
- Has a very mild fragrance to it.
- Convenient packaging (pump dispenser).
- Works as a good base for makeup.
- 97.3% natural 🙂
Cons of Yes To Carrots Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15:
- If I have to find fault then it would be the low SPF number and the sealed bottle. At least SPF 30 would have been nice to have; hope they come up with a SPF 30 version soon.
If you are a person with normal to combination skin and who doesn’t spend much time out in the sun, this would make an ideal day time moisturizer.
