Often, medicated shampoos work well for sensitive scalps and for solving hair problems. I had got this on my doctor’s prescription for my mother, who has thin hair. But I decided to use it for myself too, since I had severe hair loss this monsoon. So let’s see how Cipla Xgain Shampoo fared.

It comes in a pretty marsala and white bottle with a flip open cap. Nothing worth describing, except that it is sturdy and efficient.

My Experience with Cipla Xgain 2 in 1 Volumizing Formula Shampoo:

The shampoo is pearly white in color with a medium consistency. Being neither thick nor runny, it is extremely easy to apply. I use it by diluting in water. There is no detectable fragrance. It lathers pretty well and cleanses hair well. Oiled hair will need more amount of the shampoo. Post wash my hair feels clean and my itchy scalp seems calm. Although it doesn’t give any extra softness or control frizz, it makes hair manageable and shiny.

In fact, my hair looks bouncier. I have pretty thick hair, so volume wasn’t much of an issue. But my mother benefited from this as it gave a nice volume. We both found significant reduction in hair loss. It claims to be pH balanced and my scalp and hair are happy with the results. Though nothing remarkable, I saw healthier hair. However, I keep changing my shampoo every few months, so it will be some time before I think of using it again. But a good product nevertheless.
