FCUK Her Eau De Toilette Review

I am back with the review of another fragrance. This was actually a gift from a friend and was included in a set for Him and Her. The product I would be reviewing today is “FCUK Her EDT.”

My Take on FCUK Her Eau De Toilette:
This was the first fragrance by FCUK and was launched in 2003. I really like this! I do not own many fragrances that are totally floral (except this one and White Gardenia by The Body Shop). This EDT also has a few hints of masculine notes, but it isn’t a men’s fragrance in any way. Let me talk about the packaging first.
The product comes in a greyish silver box, which mentions the ingredients, and other details. I don’t like the bottle! It looks so plain and simple! There should have been some sort of design or something to make it a bit more attractive. Many other fragrances by FCUK have the same bottle with different designs and colors on them, and they definitely look better than this one. The bottle is made of glass and some plastic-ky metal. It has a plastic push button for the nozzle spray to work. What I hate the most is that the push button is so difficult to use at times; the spray mechanism just wouldn’t work well, It has become easier now, but in the beginning it gave a lot of problems. Also, it is a little difficult to grasp the bottle with one hand and spray. It is too wide and long.
The fragrance feels quite strong and more like alcohol immediately on spraying, but becomes milder in half a minute or so. It is quite a delicate floral fragrance, quite feminine, but I can feel a hint of masculine notes in the top notes.
The top notes are muguet, water iris, bergamot. Muguet is basically lily of the valley. So, the notes are mainly flowery with a hint of citrus. It actually feels this way. Zesty lime mixed with fragrant flowers! I can definitely notice lime, but not sure about the other two as I don’t really know how these flowers smell. It feels great!! Nothing extraordinary, but it gives me a rush of freshness, and a kind of confidence boost I should say! I find it a tad bit musky as well.
The middle notes are barringtonia flower, peony, jasmine, violet. All flowers! I can actually notice a little bit of jasmine in this and somehow, a bit of honey! Very very floral (but not overpowering) and quite lovely! Makes me feel as though I am walking in a garden full of flowers! The base notes are cedarwood, golden amber, vanilla. This part is what I love the most! Floral but little woody as well! It becomes sweeter and I can notice a little bit of sandalwood and rose in it as well. This is more of a just-out-of-the-shower kind of fragrance.
Considering it is an EDT, I was hoping it would last long. It lasted on me for at least 6 hours, though it kept getting milder and milder. I feel the staying power is quite good, but I have other EDTs that definitely last longer than this one.
Pros of FCUK Her Eau De Toilette:
- Affordable (as compared to many other good fragrances).
- Light, delicate, refreshing floral fragrance.
- Good fragrance for everyday use.
- Lasts long.
Cons of FCUK Her Eau De Toilette:
- Packaging – bottle is weird to handle and spray mechanism gives issues at times.
- Not for those who do not like flowery, sweet fragrances.

Verdict:
It is a very delicate fresh fragrance, and I totally adore it. But it isn’t extraordinary or something that makes me go “OMG!”. You can definitely give it a try though. If you like such fragrances, this one won’t disappoint you!
