FCUK Shimmer Body Lotion Review

This weekend was all fun and party, which reminded me of my Fcuk body lotion with shimmer! I know for most of us FCUK is about clothes, being a fan myself, thought of trying their other things too, so here goes my review on their shimmer body lotion.
Product Description:
Gender: Female. Released: 2003. Family: Floral/Oriental.
FCUK Her by French Connection is best described as a sexy, modern and provocative scent.
Top notes: Bergamot, water iris and muguet.
Middle notes: Barringtonia flower from Madasgascar, violet, peony and jasmine.
Base notes: Blend of golden amber musk, cedarwood and sandalwood.
Price and Quantity:
Rs. 680 for 100 ml (There are various other offers on ebay, etc).
My Experience with Fcuk Shimmer Body Lotion:
We all like to smell nice and classy! Perfume does the job, but how about a perfumed body lotion which moisturises your skin and also adds a subtle glow? Yes, so that’s what I’m talking about, FCUK shimmer body lotion. Like mentioned earlier, I have been fascinated by this brand, hence thought of trying their perfumes and lotions. I was on a trip to Dubai last year, when I came across a pack which had FCUK perfume and a body lotion. I loved the smell and hoping it would stay long, just gave it a shot! (I had got this pack of two forRs. 1550 then).
FCUK has a very sophisticated and classy scent which is not overwhelming at all. When I apply the lotion on me, I get a mild fresh aquatic fragrance. I have the same smell on me in the beginning and the same fragrance stays on me till the day ends. I normally use this lotion when I’m out with the girls or just for a simple dinner. The skin on my hand is on the drier side still, it really moisturises my skin and adds a subtle glow to it. Though it says shimmer body lotion, you cannot see the shimmer particles clearly. You can only see a subtle glow in the orange light. I have tried using this during the day also, and noticed slight shimmer when the sun was shining on me!
It comes in a tube form, which has a sturdy lid. Hence it’s easy to carry and also hygienic. The consistency is creamy and not too runny. It’s neither too thick nor too runny, hence glides on easily; leaving a smooth satin finish. It’s been like my signature smell and makes me feel really fresh.
Pros of FCUK Shimmer Body Lotion:
- Two in one – moisturizes, and gives a lovely fragrance.
- The smell (on me) stays for a long time.
- Suitable for office meetings also.
- Does not irritate my skin.
- Comes in a tube packaging, hence easy to carry along.
- Gives a subtle glow due to the mild shimmer particles.
- Gives a smooth finish to the skin.
Cons of FCUK Shimmer Body Lotion:
- Pricey for just 100 ml of the product (will get over fast).
- Though it says shimmer body lotion, there are no distinct shimmer particles.
- Availability in India.
- No ingredient list mentioned.

Do I Recommend FCUK Shimmer Body Lotion?
Yes, I would certainly recommend to all those who like oriental aquatic fragrance. Though as a moisturiser, it might not suit those with extremely dry skin. Otherwise perfect for anytime wear!

Yes, I love the way it smells and feels! Plus I feel sporting a sophisticated, elegant and timeless scent is a sure shot way to add an oomph factor to your personality, what say girls 🙂

we should not forget its FCUK, so it has to be expensive but if the performance is good is all good at the end. lovely pictures vidhi! and quiet a detailed review! good attempt !
