Papaya removes freckles and smoothens the skin.  Mineral Clay soothes the skin and removes deeply embedded impurities Directions for Use: Apply evenly over cleansed face and neck avoiding the area around eyes. Allow it to dry for 10-15 minutes. Remove with wet sponge and wash the skin with cool water. Use once or twice a week. Follow up with Himalaya Herbals Face Moisturizing Lotion. Herbal active ingredients may cause some tingling and sensation, which is normal.

What I love about Himalaya Herbals Fruit Pack? This is like one of my must haves.  I bought it last summer mainly to reduce my tan and get rid of the excessive black heads I was getting. I won’t say that it worked wonders for my skin. but it worked I normally don’t tan too much but last year for some reason, my skin was behaving very cranky. Sunscreens were protecting me from getting my skin burnt but that’s that. The blackheads, tanning and white heads were more than the usual on my skin. So, the SA suggested me to try the Himalaya Fruit Pack. I used to use it twice a week and honestly, I saw nothing happening even after I was halfway through my first tube. The only thing that it did was that it reduced my black heads and infact, I was getting less blackheads than before. But there was nothing majorly good or bad effects I was seeing on my skin.

After 3-4 weeks of regular use , I noticed a gradual reduction in my tanning, my blackheads were under control and my skin texture improved  with its regular use. I used to apply it on my arms and feet as well, the pack worked just fine on all the areas.  Infact I just bought my fourth tube yesterday. :)

The pack is easy to apply. It has a creamy texture so all you need to do is wet your face and apply the pack directly on your skin. Wait for 15- 20 minutes and wash it off. Follow up with a regular moisturizer. It comes in a squeeze tube, so it’s easier to use and carry it around . I always purchase the smaller tube and it lasts me around 3-4 months. It smells quite pleasant. It calms my skin down. Freshens up my skin, reduces black heads and gives a little tightening effect. Himalaya Fruit Pack The only thing that I don’t like is that you get a little tingling effect for a few seconds when you apply it. It’s quite irritating. But the positives are more than the negatives. So… Since the ingredients are all natural, it will take time to show results. And you might even stop using it thinking that it doesn’t work. It works…..slowly. If nothing else, it’s a good face pack. :bunny: Himalaya Fruit Face Pack Overall I think it’s a decent pack. I  can’t brag about it but I don’t love it as much as I want to.  It’s more of a necessity than love in my skincare routine.:) Indian Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: :-* :-*:-*:-* + 0.5

ha ha…I was thinking of reviewing this and here it is!!!!

Frankly I dont see any effect on my skin after usng this…I’ve heard that your face brightens up and looks really fresh after you use a face pack but I dont see any difference on my skin at all :-(( I am quite disappointed with this…but now since ur saying it helps reduce tan, I can try it for the tanning I’ve got on my feet…in anycase I need to finish the tube that I have !!!

That’s what HD. It doesn’t have quick or fast response. It will do good to your skin slowly. Yes feet are best place to test and try stuff, just in case… :X-P:

I am already done with half the tube…cant be more patient than this :-P

I have used this pack about 2 years back and had quite liked it..But then at that point of time, my skin care routine was also limited to few things.

Would love to try again…

Yeah, try it out again Poornima. May be it becomes a permanent thing in your skin care routine again. :)

Nice balanced review.Heard about the pack but never used it.Might try it out in the future.I have used their face scrub in the past and it worked well for me.It had a nice smell I remember.I am now using the Himalaya lip balm.I have used many tubes of this lip balm and though it does not work wonders but it works well and that’s why I keep going back to it always.I have used many Himalaya products and would say that Himalaya products are pretty decent.

The apricot scrub?? It’s a fixed thing for my nose. :P I get black heads pretty soon so I find it perfect for my nose tip area. :)

Yeah, Himlaya products are decent. Can’t go ga ga over them but we don’t hate them.

This is a nice pack… I only used it once. And then realised the tube was quite old. Almost near expiry!!! Somehow I forgot to try it again…

But you know all fruit packs tingle a little… :idk:
Hell my Biotique fruit pack actually burns for a good 30 sec… :-X But as you said, the positives outweigh the negatives… :-)

I am going to try the Jovees Fruit pack after this.. My Biotique one is almost over… Will tell you how it is!!! :-)) :-))

Gr8 review as always!!!!

Biotique products don’t suit me na so I find their dupes in every other range. :P You are so loving the Joveesss these days. :D

rs June 17, 2010 at 9:11 pm

Same with me Rati.Biotique skincare products don’t do anything for my skin at all.I find its actually wastage of money to buy biotique skincare products. As for biotique haircare products, its their green apple shampoo which I think does its job well. You would be surprised to hear that I don’t find green apple as an ingredient on the label of this shampoo but on the whole the shampoo is decent.I used their muskroot hairpack afer reading one review of that on IMBB and my hair resembled straw as a result of using this hairpack.I have heard many people raving about biotique because it suits them so well .Unfortunately, for me it’s a complete no-no.

Rati June 18, 2010 at 6:27 pm

With biotique it’s a love and hate kind of a thing. There’s nothing it between. If their products suit you well, they do wonders to your skin and if they don’t they just do the opposite. They have such nice ingredients and everything in their products and sometimes I just so want to try them but then I just have to let that go. I try to find alternatives in other herbal brands.

Regarding the hair pack. Did you oil your hair the night after applying the pack? Because some jair packs dry your hair and your hair need some kind of post nourishment.

Reply

rs June 18, 2010 at 7:22 pm

Yes Rati,
I did oil my hair after the hairpack dried my hair out completely but it seriously took me some to bring back my hair to its normal state. It was a disastrous experience and I don’t even want to remember it.

Rati June 18, 2010 at 7:49 pm

errrr….. you also would have to stay away from biotique products, just like me. :(

Hi to all of u…i really need some help , i bought the Fruit pack from Hilamaya and i spread it on my face …. it started to burn on my face so hard that i had to rinse my face immediately …..
it burned even after ,,,, is this normal ? i mean did it happen to u also ? ..

p.s when i say burn , i really mean it , it was unbearable …

Reply

Rati August 7, 2010 at 4:50 pm

Hi Ani,

You must stop using the fruit pack instantly because I don’t think it’s suiting your skin. This has a tingling sensation but never felt any ‘burning” sensation. Most fruit packs have a tingling sensation because of the active ingredients present in the pack. This one is no different. I just think that the pack is not suiting you.

Ani August 11, 2010 at 12:20 am

Thanks Rati , probably is so… i tried it again just to make sure i was not dreaming,,, same issue, really burning ,,, so i’d better stop using it ..

Radhika August 11, 2010 at 1:11 am

Ani..if you feel you are sensitive to some ingredient in it, you could try applying a bit on your inner elbow area…that way you will know if you are having any burning without trying it out on your face directly. My neem-turmeric pack has DMDM hydantoin (which apparently is a very common preservative) listed as a preservative in it, and I remember reading somewhere that some people might be sensitive to it..so maybe thats the case with you too..not very sure about this, though :-)

Rati August 11, 2010 at 1:21 am

Rads, all the ingredients mentioned on the pack sound herbal but you never know because our Indian companies don’t reveal the full list of ingredients. God knows what reacted on poor Ani’s face. :(

Reply

Radhika August 11, 2010 at 1:27 am

Actually na Rati, maybe its a newer packaging, but my Neem-turmeric tube has all the ingredients mentioned. Active ingredients separately, inactive separately, and I was really happy Himalaya actually bothered with it..glad some Indian company is doing something right!
