So like you know lakme has released six new lip liners, they look very simple, nothing fancy and they cost 375, I am not so happy about the introductory price honestly, they look pretty simple the shades are also very common, they have a nude one, a pink, a wine, a brown and a red I suppose, no doubt they are creamy but some how the price is also not so justified, anyway take a look and decide for yourself.

This is a pink shade and the most disappointing thing is that it is not a bold pink for a lip liner, it is a shimmer pink, I mean we don’t use shimmer lip colours, why should we like shimmer lip liners, the texture is smooth and creamy, it is not that smooth that it will crumble or break, but it glides on just right, not too soft or creamy neither does it tug or feel harsh on the lips it is fine on that front.

I used the liner with lakme 9 to 5 lipstick in fuchsia friday.

On the staying front it is just above average since it does not feel that thick I don’t think it is that amazing, it is simply fine, nothing to help your lipstick from bleeding. It is not smudge proof,it smudges very very easily, so again, this is an above average product.

It comes in a sharpen-able wooden pencil, it sharpens fine, I use my elf lip liner sharpeners, and it does not break or crumble. But the pencil is good no doubt but nothing that you might not have used before, this is better than lakme’s own lip liners which come in wooden form lip perfection ones, those reasonably priced ones used to tug, then again lakme absolute lip liners that come in that forever silk range are better, they don’t smudge at all. This falls somewhere in between.I would have liked a solid black smudge proof pink.

IMBB rating:

3/5 but I think you get better stuff in this price range.

Thanks for the review Neha – in fact, I was having a look at just these in the mall today. The swatch for this particular one seems like it suit a wide array of pink lipsticks.
