L’Occitane Verveine Shower Gel Review

Skin: Oily and occasionally acne-prone
Hello gorgeous ladies,
When it comes to shower gels and body washes, I have two most favourite brands, Bath and Body Works and Lush! I also like shower gels from The Body Shop. But I never went into a luxury brand like L’Occitane for body washes. Since I was at the outlet, the SA talked me into trying out this baby. So today the product that I am going to share my thoughts about is the L’Occitane Verveine Shower Gel. I picked up the smaller size as I wanted to try it out first. Let’s begin!

My Experience with L’Occitane Verveine Shower Gel:

Packaging: The packaging of the L’Occitane Verveine Shower Gel is a cute and good quality and sturdy bottle with a silvery gunmetal coloured flip open cap! The bottle is clear and hence the olive coloured shower gel is visible through the bottle. This bottle does not come in a cardboard-paper box which I was expecting since L’Occitane is a high end brand. The packaging and the size of this baby makes it a travel friendly product.

Colour and Smell: The body wash is an olive coloured gel. The consistency is just perfect for a shower gel. It has a beautiful and mild citrus fragrance which gives an illusion of clean skin. All the products in this line by L’Occitane have the same fragrance which I love. It is neither overpowering nor does it irritate the skin.

Texture: The texture of this L’Occitane Verveine Shower Gel is a proper consistency gel. Neither is it too runny nor too thick. Considering that I have oily skin, it does not leave an oily residue, but gets washed off of the skin quite well and easily after application. I am pretty impressed with the texture and consistency of this body wash. Also I feel unlike the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil, I do not end up using a ton of product for one wash so a little goes a long way.

Overall quality: I must say that this product is quite clarifying yet hydrating. It does not rip off the skin of the essential natural oils. The body feels nicely cleansed and plump. It does not make the skin really smooth and soft like a cream body wash, but it does not claim to do that anyways! It feels so luxurious till the time it is on the body. I usually use this baby on my spa weekends as I love using high end body product then. I need to use a body lotion or body cream after using this shower gel.

Will I Recommend/Repurchase L’Occitane Verveine Shower Gel?
I am quite enjoying this new baby in my stash. Although I do prefer cream based body washes, this baby comes in handy for a clarifying wash. If the price tag does not bother you, then grab this! I pretty much like this baby especially for travelling.
