My thoughts on the Lush Northern Lights soap

After trying out Lush face Masks, I wanted to try their highly raved about soaps too as I have completely shifted to handmade soaps over shower gels.
So I bought a few of them around last month.

First thing I loved about the soap Northern lights is the heavenly, intoxicating fragrance it has!! One sniff of the soap, takes me into trance instantly. When I got these soaps, I kept them on my bedside for 2-3 days because of their lovely fragrance 😀

Northern lights soap bar

Northern lights has this really amazingly refreshing fragrance of lemons (it has lime oil in it if you see the ingredients list). Using this soap in shower is definitely a delightful treat to the senses. The fragrance lingers on for a while after the bathing.

The colour of the soap is very unique, and I love it 😀 It’s a bright fluorescent yellow/green 😀 My dad shouted on me for getting such a weird looking soap 😛 and he even asked if this would glow in the dark 😀 😀 😀

It’s a handmade soap, which is soft and free from fillers and heavy chemicals.
It lathers up just enough to give you a nice, clean feeling (but does not lather up a “LOT” like other normal soaps.) I am pretty okay with this fact, as more lather strips off the skin with its natural moisture. I like that this soap is pretty gentle on the skin.

It hydrates the skin lightly and makes it fairly soft (but not superbly soft) I guess since it’s not more of a moisturising soap bar, but rather a refreshing, invigorating one. Atleast it does not dry out my skin bad like other soaps. I find it apt for summers when my body skin is not that dry. My 3 year old nephew has extremely dry skin and we cannot use soaps on his body, but this lush soap works well for him too.
The soap is a soft one and dissolves pretty fast. One bar lasted me not more than 15 days. I prefer to cut my soap bar into smaller chunks to avoid any wastage.

Overall, I am quite happy and satisfied with this soap and I think I would purchase another 2-3 bars of this.
