Matrix Professional Opti Black Shine Enhance Masque Review

I quite liked the Opti Black serum, reviewed here, so I decided to pick up the masque from the same range. Matrix is one brand that has rarely failed me, so this came home as a weekly dose of pamper to my thirsty tresses. Read on to know how it fared for me.

My Experience with Matrix Professional Opti Black Shine Enhance Masque:

The masque comes in a black tub packaging which is bulky and very difficult to carry along. You have to scoop out some product in a smaller tub if you want to travel with it. The body has all the required information about the product including the ingredients. The body is made of sturdy plastic, so there is no chance of cracks even if you drop it (from personal experience of a clumsy person).

The look of the masque was something that came as a shock to me. It was a black masque, like really? I have used black face masque when the activated charcoal fever was on, but a black masque for the hair was a surprise. The texture is smooth and not too thick, so it does spread well on damp hair. I keep it on for at least 15 minutes, as mentioned on the body.

Washing off the masque is slightly messy owing to the black-colored product. You have to put in some effort to get rid of the stains that tend to stay back on the floor. I really do not mind that, as the product actually delivers!

The result is awesome. My hair has never felt so smooth and shiny before. I think I just hit the HG hair masque. It gives incredible shine to the hair and controls frizz as well without weighing down the hair. My streaks look glossier after using the masque which makes me all the more happy as I was wondering what would a black masque do to my streaks. Now, I am a happy bunny with my HG masque.
