My Experience with NYX Vineyard Brush On Lip Gloss:

Packaging: The Brush On Lip Glosses from NYX come in a rectangular tube packaging. It’s made out of clear plastic so you can easily spot the colour in your stash. The applicator is pretty long. The brush is kind of stiff and tapers at the end. It has a very different brush than most lip glosses. The packaging is sleek and the product doesn’t leak out, so it is travel friendly.

Colour/Pigmentation: ‘Vineyard’ is a very unusual shade. The colour is really very different. It has hints of maroon and brown in it. It has shimmers, but they give a nice effect to the lips. The gloss has to applied on top of a lipstick because on it’s own, it is very streaky and it looks weird to me. And, when you remove the gloss, you have a hard time dealing with the shimmers. In fact, it looks better in the tube than in the swatch!

Texture: The texture is creamy enough. It’s neither too thick nor too thin. It is sticky, but not the kind you hate. The shimmers are very finely milled, so you don’t feel them when you purse your lips. The gloss moisturizes my lips when it is still on the lips. It doesn’t exactly hydrate, but my lips do not feel dry after I remove this either. Application is very streaky.

Staying Power: It stays for about 3 hours. It fades with a meal. This gloss doesn’t leave a stain behind, but it transfers easily.

Smell/Taste: I do not like the smell of this gloss either. I don’t know why NYX lip glosses have such an awful smell! But, thankfully, no taste!
