Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Oyster Eyeshadow Review

Hiya girls,

Hope you all are enjoying the chill in the air! I’m loving how cold Mumbai is currently. I love to layer my clothes nowadays, something which a Mumbai girl cannot otherwise! Hope the weather remains the same! Coming to today’s review, I got this “Oyster” shade because such shades are versatile, so let’s check out more details about it.

My Take on Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Oyster Eyeshadow:

Packaging:  These eyeshadow links come in a cute small plastic body. It’s so tiny and so cute! The front side is transparent, allowing you to locate the shadow quickly. The back side has all the details about the product. The size is tiny and travel friendly. The sides of these eye shadows have slots, so you can link up other Revlon single links to make your own palette. That’s something different and interesting! Overall, the packaging is cute, tiny, travel friendly, sturdy and linkable to other Revlon Single link shadows.

Color/Pigmentation:  Oyster is an off-white kind of shade comes on as whitish silver when swatched.  The shade can be used in many ways. It can also be used to clean up and define the eyebrows, which is the main reason I got this shade. Like all Revlon eyeshadows, this one is not much pigmented or buildable.  For some, it might be a con, but I do not mind because I can control the amount of color very easily that way.

Texture:  Revlon eyeshadows are very finely milled and are very smooth in texture. There’s a bit fallout. The shimmer doesn’t seem to be grainy when swatched or applied.

Staying Power:  This eye shadow demands the use of a good primer, without which it stays on only for 3 hours or so. A primer is a must! The only thing I did not like about this eye shadow is it’s staying power! :/

Summing up the pros and cons:

Pros of Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Oyster Eyeshadow:

  • Affordable.
  • Travel-friendly packaging.
  • Can be linked to other Revlon eye shadows to create a palette.
  • Versatile whitish silver shade.
  • Smooth texture.
  • Buildable.

Cons of Revlon Colorstay Shadowlinks Oyster Eyeshadow:

  • Staying power.
  • Little fall out.

IMBB Rating:

3.4/5

Final Verdict:

I would recommend this eyeshadow only to beginners in makeup, otherwise you can skip this!
