The eyeshadow comes in a glossy black rectangular case with a transparent cover lid. The packaging is smartly designed to customize your own palette. Each side of the eyeshadow case has an extra piece of plastic, that’s the piece which interlocks. The other side of each eyeshadow case has a slot, where the plastic piece locks into. So, you can easily link up these eyeshadows and make your own palette. Overall, the packaging of these eyeshadows is super sleek, compact and functional. They can easily fit our vanity pouches and are super travel friendly. The eyeshadow case doesn’t come with any sponge or brush for application.

The shade “Candy” is a light lilac pink shade with silver shimmer particles in pearl finish. The eyeshadow has lots of silver shimmer particles which does make it appear slightly frosty in finish. Even with a single swipe, you get oodles of shimmer around. So, if you are not a fan of shimmery eyeshadows, then this one will not work for you. The SA did not have a tester for this one and so I blindly picked it up. If I had swatched it at the counter, would have skipped this shade for the shimmer. As the shade has lots of shimmer, there is some fall out with this eyeshadow. The color is quite pale and will work really well on fair to medium skin tones.

Texture and Pigmentation:

The texture of this eyeshadow is decently soft and smooth. It glides easily without any tugging. I feel the shimmer in the eyeshadow could have been a bit more subtle, it feels slightly gritty and stark. So, I recommend you to carefully apply it on your eyelids and especially on your lower lash line as the shimmer might easily get into your eyes. It doesn’t feel very fine in texture. The pigmentation of this eyeshadow is quite average and much better than the other shades from the range. This eyeshadow has better color pay off and the true color of the eyeshadow shows up in a single swipe itself. I think from all the eyeshadows I own, copper and candy are best in pigmentation.

Staying Power:

The eyeshadow has a low staying power again. It stays on me for only about 2 and half hours and then starts fading. The color fades initially after around 2 hours of wear time leaving the shimmer particles behind. The shimmer does get dispersed unevenly after the color fades, so it does feel uncomfortable.

Pros of Revlon Colorstay Shadow Links Eyeshadow in Candy:

  • Smart packaging – easy to customize your own palette.
  • It is not powdery or chalky.
  • Decent pigmentation.

Cons of Revlon Colorstay Shadow Links Eyeshadow in Candy:

  • The shimmer particles could have been finer.
  • Low staying power.
  • The eyeshadow has some fall outs.
  • The shade might not suit all the skin tones.
  • Ingredients list is missing.

IMBB Rating:

Will I Repurchase/Do I Recommend Revlon Colorstay Shadow Links Eyeshadow in Candy?

I do recommend it to beginners and if you are excited, give it a try. Overall, I feel the shade is not a very flattering pink on Indian skin tones. It might look stark and chalky. I have a dusky skin tone and I don’t think it goes well with my complexion unless I work with it really well. If you are a fan of the color then I do recommend it to you. The formula is just nearly average and not a must try!
