Revlon Plump Sexxxy Lip Color in Honey Kiss

Hello Beauties!!

Revlon Plump Sexxxy Lip Color in Honey Kiss

I get really confused when I start writing reviews about lip colors. I think I am not mature enough to describe the shades. Actually, I am much of a lip gloss/lip balm person who rarely puts on lip colors.  I apply them only if I have to attend something traditional or a family function where I have to clad myself in ethnic wear, then just cannot help it. I can just take care of my skin and hair with perfection, but makeup is definitely not my cup of tea. Well, I am learning now, you all gorgeous people at IMBB being the inspiring factor.

The lipstick I am trying to disclose in front of you is “Revlon Plump Sexxxy Lip color in Honey Kiss.”

My Experience with Revlon Plump Sexxxy Lip Color in Honey Kiss:

Again, I have a product for which I have mixed feelings. First of all, coming to the color, the lipstick is a beige color with pink undertones and silver micro shimmer particles to it which are not too obvious. But when you apply this on your lips, it looks as if you have mixed some baby pink, some light brown and some silver to the color. It can be great for people with fair and light wheatish skin tones and if worn with proper eye makeup, else it will make you look pale. It can easily pull off the color from your face and make you look dull.

The color can be worn with or without a lip liner. It does not dry out the lips and does not settle into fine lines. Even when the color fades out, you can see the micro shimmers sitting on your lips. It has some sweet fruity smell to it which can be a problem for sensitive noses. I am quite okay with that, though I prefer my lipsticks to be fragrance free. This lipstick gives out some cooling sensation after application, but that goes away after some time. To be very frank, I could not notice any plumping effect.

Now, quickly summing up the pros and cons of the lipstick:

Pros of Revlon Plump Sexxxy Lip Color in Honey Kiss:

  • Decent packaging.
  • Nice fruity smell.
  • Does not makes lips dry.
  • Does not settle into fine lines.

Cons of Revlon Plump Sexxxy Lip Color in Honey Kiss:

  • Staying power is pretty less, i.e., up to 2 hours. After that, you need to reapply.
  • Gives some tingling/cooling sensation to lips.

Finally, I would like to say that the color can be a hit if worn with smokey eyes and can be good for office goers who need some subtle, not so loud colors.

I love this shade! long back I had got my first lippie from Lakme with similar shade as this. but it was overly dying. I will check out this shade. IMO, Revlon has great lipsticks both in terms f quality, price and color selection!

That’s true… You need to compliment it with heavy eye makeup… :)

It is a pretty color although it might be too cool toned to suit warmer complexions.

Not completely but you need to be very careful with the eye makeup else you will look dull.. :)
