When Rima and Rati Met at Select City Walk- Makeup Talks and Makeup Updates :D

So finally I met Rima at select City Walk, New Delhi, today. This is for the first time I was meeting someone through the online world so I was quite apprehensive. But as soon as we met each other it didn’t feel like we were meeting for the first time. It was like we were those two long lost friends who had some cartload of stuff to catch up. We sat at Barista , chatted about makeup, makeup, more makeup and some normal jazz about life. I carried some makeup stuff with me to show her and also my Body’s Shop’s foundation brush.   Then we went around to look at the brands. I picked up MAC Ombre Blush in Grape Vintage from MAC Spring Colour Forecast 3  Collection. She picked up a nice coral lipstick from Inglot.  The prices of Inglot lipsticks have reduced from Rs 680 to Rs 550. :yes: Then we went to Lancome just to check out some stuff around. They never fail to impress. Rima also got compliment for her lovely curls from one of Lancome’s SAs.

If you have been following Colorbar from their very start, you would be aware of their five colour lip palettes. The lip palettes have been discontinued now but they have got the two eyeshadow palettes with five colours each. I did not find them impressive. They were too shimmery. They might be great wear for an evening wear. The eyeshadow palettes are priced at Rs 500 each. Rima picked up the foundation brush from Colorbar. They also have some very cute gift packs for Mother’s day.

And we kept talking and talking….

Then we went to check out some stuff from the Nature’s Co; I have to say that the Pineapple lip balm actually smelled like a pineapple shake. It was quite yummy. :eat:

After that we sat at one of the benches at the mall and talked for hours. It was such a lovely experience to meet her. We would catch up soon, Rima.
After we bade good bye to each other, I went to check out the Lakme lipstick exchange offer. The satin lipsticks are included in the lipstick exchange offer. :-* I had some points accumulated in my Shopper’s Stop card, so I used them to purchase Lakme Lash Artist and Lakme Black Impact Liner. I redeemed my points and just had to pay Rs 73 for both the purchases. The eye shadows are still unavailable even after so many days since the Suneet Verma’s collection launched.

Any way, to be honest the packaging isn’t bad at all. It is the plastic seal that is making the products look  unimpressive. I did try the Lakme Lash Artist Mascara after coming home. It went beautifully on my lashes. It curled my lashes , gave volume to them and did not clump at all even after applying the mascara 10 times. It is hard to believe that but the first impressions are quite impressive. However, it has to go through the test and trials before I give my final verdict.

All in all, a lovely day. The only regret was that both Rima and I had forgotten to bring our cameras.  So no pictures :silly:
