Ask IMBB Gang

Wafa Asks :

To nourish my hair I just began to oil my hair with coconut/olive oil followed by steam wrap. But the main problem is that oil does not come out even after washing thrice that too washing by strongest shampoo ‘head and shoulder’.. Please suggest me a good shampoo to use after my oil treatment.

  1. i would say get himalaya shampoo for oily hair. it has worked to remove the oil from my hair so far.

another wonder product is vidal sassoon shampoo(the precision clean one) or the regular one that comes in a maroon bottle. it removes all the oil really well.

  2. I can give you two tips that ahve worke dfo me.

    1. use luke warm water. sometimes coconut oil kinda gets thick in hair and it gets really difficult to get rid of it with cold water.

    2. I wash my hair twice. Like i shampoo once, rinse completely and then shampoo again and rinse again.

    Hope that helps. 🙂

  3. perfect timing for perfect question..i face d same prblm…nd d prblm is if i use so mch shampoo in order to wash d oil off..it makes ma hair so dry… :((

  4. step 1:use a shampoo that lathers a lot 1-2 times to get rid of oil and step2/ then use your regular shampoo to wash your hair.
    works for me 🙂

  5. Mix some lemon juice in any shampoo, and then wash, oil will go off completly with out drying your hair

  6. I read this tip on IMBB n have been following it ever since… ‘mix shampoo in some water n pour it on ur head…’
i used 2 face d same problem as u….n nw it has been solved. Thanx IMBB….i really love this blog n read d reviews b4 making any purchase…gr8 job guys!!

  7. I don’t know of a good shampoo to wash off oil in a single rinse.
    try the following –
    1. Scrub besan on damp hair, this will clean all the oil off your scalp. Rinse out thoroughly till the water runs clear.
    2. Use your regular shampoo to wash off grime and dirt in your hair.
    3. Condition!
this is hard work but works for me. the best part is all besan is all organic no parabens and sulphates :jiggy1:

  8. wafa u can try using the kesh kanti shampoo from patanjali….i too oil my hair every alternate day & use this shampoo…the oil comes off completely in the second wash…not atrace of it….
