Let me begin by saying I have really straight eyelashes. They also have no curl at all! So, I am always on the lookout for a good mascara that curls, volumises and lengthens. That’s like looking for a perfect guy or something. 😛 But guess what, I found both! 😛 Read on to find out our story. (No not the guy wala, but the mascara wala story 😛 )

My Experience with TheBalm Cheater Mascara:
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the cheeky, retro packaging. It says stuff like, “Looks are deceiving” and “Her secret’s safe now!” so cute! It’s a pretty, nicely sized mascara tube with cute yellow and black prints. It has names for the cheats like Vince Volume, Donnie Dark-Coat, Thomas Thick, and Lance Long-Lash. So, cheeky and fun! The brush is pretty simple, nothing weird or fancy. But, here comes the best part, this simple brush not only lengthens, but also creates great volume. It’s supposed to be a volumizing brush, but I think it also creates beautiful length for my tiny, short lashes.
It wears well for the whole day. I curl my lashes before applying and it always holds the curl. I leave for college at 7.30 am, and come back around 6 pm, and it’s still holding strong! When I go out in the evening, I put on one or two more coats (no clumps, yay!) and my eyes look instantly refreshed!
I have never noticed any flaking or clumping. It has a fairly wet formula, so you just have to take care not to smudge it before it’s dry. It’s pretty lightweight too, so no crunchy lashes.
Truly, beauty lies in simplicity. It is a simple mascara, but my HG for everyday use! love it!

OMG, I need this! I haven’t been able to find a good natural mascara 🙁 My lashes are straight too, so I think this will work great for me 🙂
