Victoria’s Secret All Mine Smooth Kiss Glossy Lip Butter Review

How is your week coming along? Mine is going well. Today’s review is on a lip butter which is so good looking, almost every girl will fall in love with the way it looks. It’s so pink and glossy!

This I picked up while I was waiting at Singapore airport for a connecting flight to India. I had to spend 4 hours looking around which was not a pain at all considering the airport has the best of Charles and Keith, Chanel, Victoria secrets and the list goes on 😀 I loved entering Victoria Secret’s showroom, it looks like a doll house and smells divine! This little pink jar immediately caught my eye and I had to pick it up just for the way it looked 😛

Going ahead with the review, here’s what the brand has to say about it:
“The glossy lip butter you know and love, now with a sleek new look, gives your lips a sheer kiss of delicious color and shine. A grab-and-go makeup essential. Keep one in every bag.”

My Experience with Victoria’s Secret All Mine Smooth Kiss Glossy Lip Butter:

I have been using this Lip Butter since 3 Months now; and I have formed a mixed opinion about it. I shall list down my experience as below:

Packaging: It comes in a cute and sleek silver jar with a transparent lid from which you can see the gorgeous pink color. The size of the packaging is also perfect to carry it around in your pocket. I personally love the packaging /over all look, but for practical purposes I wish it was not a jar.
Fragrance: Victoria secret smooth kiss lip butter has a sweet fragrance, nothing too over powering. A very mild sweet scent.

Taste: Well for some, they need their lip butters to be tasty, if you are one of them; then this is a must buy for you. It tastes very sweet, like literally! If this goes into your mouth while eating or drinking you’ll feel as if you are eating a candy. I personally like the taste and definitely see it as a plus point.

Texture and Feel: When I first used the lip butter it felt quiet heavy on my lips. But after sometime the heaviness settled down to a nice soft pink tint. It looked great and sat well. The lip butter is sticky and feels as if it just sits on your lips as in; you won’t forget that you have applied something. It does not moisturise your lips at all! However, it works great over lipsticks when you want your lips to look plump and shiny (that extra oomph can be added with this!)

Pigmentation and Staying Power: This is a sheer lip butter which is easy to build up. It will not bleed as well. But do keep in mind that the more you build up the stickier you will feel. It stays put for a good enough time about 4-5 hours after which it leaves a soft pink tint (But by this time it sort of settles into fine lines a little) but nothing that’ll look bad. Plus it is really easy to touch up as well! 😀

The best way to use this I feel is to moisturise your lips first, wait for some time and then apply a nice coat of this lip butter. You might have to scrape it out a little if you want a high pigmentation and shine.

• Tastes delicious and smells the same
• The jar will last you a very long time
• Can build the color without bleeding
• Fades evenly with a nice soft pink tint

Cons of Victoria’s Secret All Mine Smooth Kiss Glossy Lip Butter:

• Does not moisturise your lips
• Feels sticky on lips
• Availability
• Messy to use due to jar packaging.

My Final Verdict:
Well If you like good looking and sweet tasting lip butters then this is for you! Over all I shall not buy this again since this will last me for a really long time and it is not one of my favourite products. Though I love the way it looks on my lips and on my dressing table I shall try something else which is more moisturising and not too sticky.
