1. Oil Your Scalp:

There are many oils to choose from you can use coconut, olive, almond or argan oil. Apply only on your scalp or hair and let it stay for at-least 5-6 hours or overnight. This will not only moisturise your scalp but also strengthen your hair and roots.
Tip: warm coconut and olive oil in microwave for a few seconds then apply on your scalp and hair use a old towel or scarf wrap your head (wrap for at least 30 minutes)this will help the oil to penetrate in the first layer of the skin. Wash it off after a few hours.

2. Use a Moisturising Shampoo:

Use a gentle shampoo that doesn’t strip off your scalp’s natural oil and cleanse your scalp at the same time. Use a shampoo formula that includes hyaluronic acid or argan or tea tree oil to keep your problem area moisturised. Also limit your shampoo wash for 2-3 times per week.

3. Try some DIY Home Remedies:

• Lemon Mask: Mix 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil/coconut oil in a bowl. Massage the liquid with your fingers into your scalp and leave it on for 30 minutes before rinsing, shampooing and conditioning hair.

• Banana Mask: Mash up one banana in a bowl using a fork. Stir in 1 tablespoon of honey and 2 tablespoon of almond oil/coconut oil. Massage the mixture onto your scalp with your fingers. Cover your head with a shower cap or scarf and wait 20 minutes. Rinse, shampoo and condition your hair as usual.

• Vinegar Mask: Mix one part of white vinegar and one part of water in 50-50 ratio. Pour it onto your scalp after shampooing and conditioning. Do not rinse out the vinegar solution. Let it dry onto your scalp.

Blow drying and heat-styling tools can suck the moisture from your hair and scalp.
