My hunt for a perfect shine and frizz control serum has never ended. And this was one that I picked recently. I was attracted by the impressive ingredients list with almond and cashew extracts. It also claims to treat dry and damaged hair. But did this really make a difference or repair my hair?
What the product claims:
Biotique Bio Almond and Cashew Fresh Replenishing Serum is a lightweight, nourishing serum blended with pure almond oils and cashew oils. It repairs and revitalizes dry and damaged hair. It resurfaces hair cuticles and is best suited for colored and premed hair as it prevents fading.
• Repairs and rejuvenates damaged and dry hair
• Resurfaces hair follicles to seal in curl and color
• Represses fading and nourishes scalp
• Retains natural moisture of scalp to make hair fuller and thicker .
Price– Rs 159 for 35 ml
My Take on Bio Almond and Cashew Fresh Replenishing Serum:
The serum comes in a default Biotique packing. Nothing fancy, but boring is the pack. Taking the product out of the bottle is difficult. Sometimes you end up taking more than what you need. The serum is white colored gel type. The serum spreads easily on your hair. The gel smells very herbal and it will not bother sensitive noses. The smell doesn’t linger for a long time. Before I start about the product, let me tell you my hair type. I have oily scalp with dry ends and my hair looks frizzy. Unless I quench with a nice conditioner, my hair looks as if its moisture is ripped off fully.
Now speaking about the results, to be frank, it did nothing! I applied it on wet hair for the first time. Result was null. My hair looked same dry and frizzy. The moment I applied, I felt my hair becoming smooth. Sadly that did not last long.
The next time I let my hair air dry and then applied. Still nothing happened. I have tried taking different quantity of the product, wishing it works. But it was a Total disappointment!!
Biotique face packs never worked for me, and this gets added to the list. One good thing was it did not weigh down my hair, otherwise this serum is a utter dud.
What I like about Bio Almond and Cashew Fresh Replenishing Serum:
– The herbal smell.
– Impressive ingredients list.
– Does not weigh down your hair.
What I do not Like about Bio Almond and Cashew Fresh Replenishing Serum:
-Falsie claim of retaining moisture. My hair remained dry.
-Did nothing to retain moisture, despite having almond oil and cashew extracts which are rich in Vitamin E and other essentials nutrients.
-Boring packing and dispensing the product is difficult.
Will I recommend Bio Almond and Cashew Fresh Replenishing Serum? No.
IMBB Rating – 2/5
Overall Verdict –
Sometimes think I should not sink my hair too much in chemicals, but can’t help. Most of the products available do have chemicals. Since Biotique has few natural ingredients, I picked it with great expectations. But to the contrary it was just a serum, doing nothing to dry hair. Either my hair should be totally dry or this serum is just hopeless. Except for the herbals smell, nothing is catchy about this serum. If you want a decent hair serum, please do not go for this. There are far better products available in the market. I say this honestly.
