Price: 1360/-
Quantity: 200ml
Directions for use:
Apply on wet skin, work into foam. Rinse well and gently dry. Use morning and evening. Can be used as shaving foam
Packaging:
This product is packaged in a thick transparent plastic with a pump dispenser. Since it is transparent, you can see how much is left. It has a very alluring look about it, but nothing very special. The pump delivers a very little amount of the product, which is enough for one-time wash. This is a standard 200 ml bottle. It is not very travel-friendly as the pump dispenser doesn’t have a cap, so it might spoil your bag.
The pump dispenser:
Ingredients:
Aqua, Sodium cocoamphoacetate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, PEG-200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl palmata, PEG-40 Glyceryl Cocoate, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Zinc Sulfate, Sodium Sulfate Coceth, PEG- 7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Copper sulfate, Ginkgo Biloba Extract, Sodium Chloride, Xylitol, Fructo-Oligosaccharides, Mannitol, Rhamnose, Sodium Hydroxide, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Methylparaben, Sodium Propylparaben, Parfum (Fragrance)
My take on BIODERMA Sébium FOAMING GEL 200 ML
My mom’s dermatologist is a big fan of my skin. He doesn’t forget to admire the texture of my skin each time I take my mom to his clinic. So this one time he handed over this face wash to me – not for free though. My mom was totally against buying it as she asks me to use natural products and not expose my skin to chemicals. However, since the doctor admires my skin, I didn’t listen to my mom and bought this anyway.
According to the instructions, you’re supposed to foam a small quantity of this ‘Purifying Foaming Gel Sébium’ in hand and apply smoothly. Massage on damp face. Rinse thoroughly. Finally, dry your face without rubbing but by dabbing with a towel. I followed the instructions very well.
The doctor said this face wash would keep my skin glowing for at least 7 hours. I have a very normal skin, which tends to get a bit oily in summers. The first time I used it my skin felt pretty dry. It was stinging. Such issues tend to occur when you use new skin care products. So, I gave it the benefit of doubt and kept using it every day and night religiously.
On the third day of usage, I started seeing some changes in my skin. I was happy, as usual. However, the next day when I woke up, I was looking like “Om Puri.” You guys know Om Puri, right? His skin has pits on his skin. It was a nightmare for me. I literally cried a lot that day. In addition, my mom was showing off her “I told you so” behaviour. Anyway, that’s really irrelevant.
This product broke me out. I wonder how come I always come across such products. My skin took more than a few weeks to recover but, truth be told, my skin has lost its originality. 🙁 Now I seriously wish I could throw this on my dermatologist’s face. It might be a good product but it just didn’t suit my skin. Still, I cannot recommend it to anyone after this appalling experience
Would I recommend?
Based on my experience with this product, I will not be able to recommend it to anyone.
god sugi! Feeling really sorry for you girl. 🙁 Thanks for the heads up. *hugs*
i was really eager to share my experience. thanks for putting it up rati
Ohh God!! Thanks for the alarm……n “Om Puri” Like skin…..i can undrstnd. Be Careful next time. 🙂
really it was ditto like om puri
awww! 🙁 sorry for u… this is so scary! such a bad product and so expensive too 🙁
feeling so sorry for u 🙁 thanks for the warning.
do u think the dermatologist was jealous of your skin? 😮 i know i sound kiddish :-/
Am I thinking kiddish too or is it true!? I was thinking of the same thing!!!
Ahem I thought of the same thing 😮
If he admired your skin and said it was wonderful, why would he suggest you try something else?
I sound childish too, but hey that’s what it seems to be!
Hope your skin gets back to how it was before, Sugi! It could take some time, but you will get there.
Huggs.
thankfully its back to normall now. but would take long time to get back the charm
men! sigh 🙁
how could a male doc get jealous of my skin. i doubt now. if he was a girl than i can think abt it, but he was a male. now i seriously doubt he is male only na. :))
hahha! u never know how hormones work 😉
So sad ,may be u have sensitive skin 🙁 ..but this is a good product for super oily skin …I have used it before when I was at Moscow …can’t find this product in Delhi 🙁
u had good experience with it?
Omg… Such a horrid experience
yes pia:(
tht derma sounds jealous of ur smooth and clear skin…
i bet that now
Such a bad experience 🙁
Take care girl!
thanks for the warning! i wonder why the doctor was so determined to sell this given that you already have good skin and did not ask him for any advice 🙂
i trusted him. he ditched me… 😥
why dont you send a similar hamper of disasterous products to his wife..the doc surely doesnt know wt skin means to girls in their girl world!!
thats a really good idea.. :smart:
lol! 😀 i love this idea 😉
haaaaaaawww.. feeling bad for you… n thanx for warning 🙂
oh no girl. It can be really depressing having clear skin and then breaking out. I wish you luck in getting back ur clear skin. If u ever go to that prick again, do give him a piece of ur mind!
I think it is a trick. First give the bad product then treatment for the problem and make money out if it…
hawww……..sugi, ye kab kaise kyun hua *shock* ? maaro doc ko, maaro….
aaj shivi. mil k marte hai
Ohh Sugi… am so sorry about what happened to you. but my dermatologist recommended the same to me, i have been using it for 4 months now and it worked quite ok on my skin. i guess the skin type matters a lot. Mine is a highly oily skin and thats probably why it hasnt shown much effect on my skin.. but for the expense at which we had to buy this face wash i still dont think its worth it. Cetaphil works great and is also affordable.
Sheesh Sugi! How could he do that? Do some drama and go back to him and threaten him with a lawsuit maybe ;P
hi hi yeah..;p
:(! I can totally relate to this, I hope ur skin recovers fast! and that idiot goes to hell!
oh my goodness..i have heard so good things about bioderma products 🙁 sad it didnt suit u
